THIS is what incense should smell like. I always buy nag champa. Its good but , more smoke than smell , these sticks are only incense, no stick, so no wood burning and messing up the smell. I have a real good sense of smell so this is really refreshing. The size is a slight bit small but its ok, its awesome and relaxing. Thank you for a great product. * Bows respectfully*

Worth every cent! Beautiful packaging! Great product. Don't be disappointed they break. They are pure scent with no center stick so it's to be expected. Can't wait to get more and even gift! You don't even need to burn them to enjoy the smell

I burn incense frequently to clear the air in my office, and the scent profile on this Japanese sandalwood is absolutely top-tier. I rested a banana next to the wooden Paulownia presentation case in the photo for scale, highlighting just how short and delicate these premium sticks actually are. The fragrance is rich, woody, and entirely lacks that harsh, smoky campfire smell that cheap incense produces. WHAT STANDS OUT: • It burns incredibly cleanly with very minimal smoke, leaving a lingering, authentic sandalwood aroma that doesn't overpower a small room. • The included tiny ceramic holder is a nice functional touch for flat surfaces. HANDLING QUIRK: • Unlike standard Indian incense, traditional Japanese incense does not utilize a central wooden bamboo core. It is essentially pure compressed fragrance powder. This makes the sticks incredibly brittle. If you try to force the end into a tight holder or accidentally drop them onto the table, they will instantly snap in half. You must handle them very gently when setting them up. THE BOTTOM LINE: A stunningly beautiful, clean-burning fragrance that elevates the room, provided you handle the delicate, coreless sticks carefully.

Is this what real sandalwood smells like? If so, it's absolutely divine!! I love it! The moment I first opened the package and got hit with the scent, I just had this moment where my brain was like, "Oh. OH. HOLY CRAP." I'm used to the conventional incense sold in stores, so I totally wasn't expecting it. I can't stop opening the package just to take a sniff, it just smells so niiiiiiiice. It makes me want to roll around in it until my skin soaks the scent up or something. This doesn't smell anything like previous "sandalwood" I've burned before...and the box it comes in looks really nice! It even came rolled up inside a reference paper of other scents the company sells. It is smaller, but I think it's worth the price. There's no core, so it doesn't have that pungent, burnt wood smell underneath. You know how some incense sticks smell great in the package, but smell awful once it's burning? These aren't like that. It smells just like as it comes in the package! Because of that, the scent feels lighter and less pungent, however it does burn FAST. But the scent is strong when it burns, and once it's all burnt up, it still lingers in the air like really nice, subtle perfume. Whenever I turn my head, I catch it and it's absolutely wonderful. For reference, I burnt these around 4:40-ish and it's 1:38 AM now, and I can still smell it. On the downside, the sticks are fragile because of the lack of wooden core, so you'll have to be careful handling it, and again, it burns really fast. I'm not sure how it might smell in a larger space, but I burned these in a decently-sized bedroom. Also, these are fairly expensive for incense sticks, so the smaller size and fast burning might be something to think about if you're strapped for cash. I kinda bought these on a whim, but now I'm hooked. I think I'll prefer this style of incense from now on!

Yes 5 stars because it is my go to,,,, lovely soft sandalwood scent. Strength is perfect, as I like a lighter scent vibe. Easy cute box to get into and use. Pretty good price, seems to be the going rate across the board for quality sandalwood.

Gorgeous smell that stays in your home for several days meaning that one stick of around 20 cms can make your home smell like sandalwood for at least 48 hours. The burn lasts around an hour and the ash can be collected in the container to ensure the mess is contained. Really good quality for the price.

A regular purchase for my home. This incense does not have an over-powering sweet scent which is exactly how I like it. It is gentle, aromatic and typical of japanese style incense. The box and packaging are beautiful. The box also keeps the scent once all the incense has been used, so I put it in my clothing storage to gently perfume my clothes as well! Makes a beautiful hostess gift for those who like subtle scent in their homes or sanctuaries.

These are high quality sandalwood incense that fills the whole house with it wonderful scent when lit without being cloying. One box has 40pcs and comes with a ceramic lid. They burn rather quickly as the sticks aren't that long

The sticks are very accurate to the picture, they have a nice smell that isn't too strong but is noticable and lasts quite a while, which makes it good for people who are just starting to get into burning incense. Good for the price would get again.
