Androids: The Team that Built the Android Operating System

A well-told history of a very important project
It is rather challenging to keep track of all the characters in the story, but for me, that really didn't matter. It's really interesting to learn how a very interesting project got off the ground. I've been a long time, enthusiastic Android user, and dabbled a bit creating apps, and so for me, the book was really interesting.

Delightful book for any Android lover
This is a fantastic book; not too technical for non-techy people (but in that case why would you read a book about the inception and delivery of Android?!) and delightful for techier people. I would warmly recommend this book to anyone interested in Android.Bonus: Chet Hasse's humour all over the book 😊

A behind the scenes view of what actually got android to launch.
As a Googler since 2010 I'd only heard rumours of what is was like working on Android, the whole organisation was so secret. This book breaks it all down and shows you how it was built not only technically but how the people came together (or not). It's been an amazing read, loved every minute of it.

The real story of the early days of Android, directly from the team that built it.
Amazing books written by a member of the Android team, based on interviews with key early team members from Android. A fantastic insider account of what it's like to build a world-changing platform that has brought modern computing to over a billion people.
