FANOR Zero Gravity Style Chair Universal Replacement Lace - One Chair Kit (Contains 4 Strings), Black

I purchased this 11 months ago. I installed it in March, so this has only been on the chair for nine months. The elastic is trash now. It's brittle, breaking apart and i really don't know how long it has been this way because we haven't been out in the patio door over a month. This is a patio chair, so of course it is in the sun three or four hours a day. The previous elastics lasted many years!!! This didn't make it even 3/4ths if a year. It is also dangerous. We are fortunate no one sat in it recently.

Update: This update is overdue. The cords shredded in only a few months. The original cords lasted over two years before getting weak. The old ones broke in a couple stress spots but never shredded. This was ridiculous. They were good for one last backyard celebration but that was it. I'm so sorry I was so fast to praise them and so slow to update here. I really thought they were great at first.

I bought this cording summer 2018, and fixed both of my zero gravity chairs. They were a little too long, but I dealt with it and made it work. I was so proud of myself for doing this. I had these chairs for about 5 years and the elastic was breaking. Had the redone chairs outside for about 3 months and put them away for the winter. I just pulled them out of storage and all of the elastic has frayed and the outside covering has completely deteriorated! What the heck?? This is total crap, and am very upset that the cords didn’t even last for a few months!

Purchsed this product in May 2018 and not even 10 months later, the cords were extremely tattered. The chair does stay outside at all times but the original cords lated several years outside in the elements. After replacing the original cords with these, the chair may have been used 10 times, so it was not used and abused. These replacement cords may be fine for a chair indoors but I wouldn't take any chances.

An easy repair. Pay attention to the pattern when restringing your chair. If you end up with too much or not enough string when your done, chances are you did not follow the correct pattern. If you do it right, the strings are exactly the right length.

Updated review.After 3 months they are already worn and need to be replaced (see pic). Find another brand.

The cord seems to be very well made. Time will tell. Their is enough cord to nearly double each run on the chairs. The 1/4' cord is heavy duty. We store our chairs out of the direct sun light which will also make the cord last longer.

Awesome way to fix perfectly good chairs. Much less expensive than replacing them! Took some time, but re-threading the chairs we had was worth it and so much cheaper!UPDATE: see the photo. After only 1 year, they are falling apart. And we put our chairs out only from May-September; they are in a shred for the winter. Ugh.
