WOW! Wish I'd have had one of these years ago! Versatile for big and small tasks!
I was looking at one of these Jawhorse units from a local budget tool store(You know who). It was not in stock so I found this one. WOW! I am so glad I bought it. It is a heavy unit(which is a good thing) that didn't require any assembly. Unfolded the legs and stood it upright. The rubber pads required a flathead screwdriver to separate at first, but that just shows how well they help hold whatever you want to grip in the clamp. I've used it to hold small metal flat piece to grind and shape to fit a project. Held the 1/4" bar firmly for me to use the grinder. Clamped axes by the handle to use wire wheel to clean rust off the axe heads & prep to paint. Able to set items of different shapes at various angles, slide the jaws against whatever I wanted to hold, flipped the switch down to lock and use the foot pedal to tighten it as much as I needed. Once the locked clamp is tightened down it holds solidly until you flip the switch to unlock and step on the foot pedal to release the clamping power. This is a massively useful assistance item. It more than outperforms the work of a second person in so many tasks. Totally worth every penny & has more than paid for itself very quickly.

Must have for any household or construction site!
I just got this yesterday and already I love it! It is so easy to use and no assembly required just take it out of the box and get right to work. I'm a single woman and have a bad shoulder. The bad shoulder has made it very difficult to get the house hold honey do's taken care of like they need to be. I had an older porch swing that I needed to take apart and sand but was having a hard time keeping the boards still and at a decent height so I could reach them with said bad arm. This has been a life saver as it is just right for me to be able to stand upright, simple to use by just clamping the boards so they don't budge while I sand them. This is just the best of both worlds a saw horse with clamps all rolled into one easy to use unit. I was able to double the amount of work I was getting done in just one evening of use and will finish this project way ahead of what I had expected it to take. After showing co workers what I had purchased everyone of them is looking at getting one for their own use for those home projects we all have. I was worried when I saw it that it would be too heavy to lift. My Mother had tried to get it out of the box to look at when it arrived but wasn't able to lift it. I was able to lift it and once you get it out of the box it is very easy to move around with the wheel on the one end. I was able to wheel it across the carpet and hardwood (did not leave a scratch) and out onto the back porch. I had it set up and was using in it in just a couple minutes.

Worth it! Quality. Stability. Solid!
Game changer! Oh, Rockwell jawhorse, where have you been all my life. It clamps down wood for my carvings like a dream! Yeah. It's a little heavy. It needs to be so it doesn't bounce around. Worth every penny! Oops, pennies are no longer made. Okay. Worth every nickel!

Great product but had one somewhat annoying issue
The JawHorse came quickly and was packed well in the box -- no visible damage. I opened it up, read the directions but when I first tried it out, the JawHorse would not lock. No matter what I did, it would not lock. Shipping this "puppy" back would be a big hassle so I took the face plate off that holds the lock button and the button fell out -- it was not connected to anything. I saw two holes in the back of the button so I figured something had to be connected to it. When I looked inside with a flashlight, I saw the connecting prongs (thin spring loaded metal prongs) and saw they they were to be inserted in the holes from the inside out -- the spring pushing them out and holding them in place (if you have this problem you will see what I mean). I squeezed the prongs together, inserted them in the holes, reinstalled the button and faceplate and it worked like it was intended to work. I gave a four star rating because of this problem -- the unit itself is fine and works well. However, if someone purchased this unit, had the same problem, and was a bit timid about taking the faceplate off (maybe void the warranty?) it would be an giant hassle to repack and ship it back. Also, since these "prongs" were spring loaded and pushing out (you had to pinch the spring together to insert it), there is absolutely no way they could have vibrated out during shipping. In my opinion, this was definitely a quality control problem -- the unit could not have been tested to see that it worked after being manufactured. The bottom line is I am happy with the unit thus far -- it is very sturdy and works fine. However, if you find that your lock/unlock button is not working at all or not working properly, take the face plate off and check to see that both "prongs" are inserted properly. Since they are spring loaded, they are spread far apart and it took a hard second look to find the second prong (there were two holes in the button so I figured there were two). Rockwell is a good brand name but I "dinged" them a star because the customer should not have to troubleshoot their products right out of the box.

Gets the Job Done
This jaw horse is a really great product. It is strong, sturdy and very functional. The design is very well thought out. Once you learn how to use it, set up and take down are a breeze. It has been invaluable helping me complete many DIY projects around the house. The weight is a bit hefty, but that's what's needed to lock in the variety of objects it can securely hold - especially heavier things. Carrying or rolling it is also very manageable and it takes up minimal space when stored in my garage. Invaluable and highly recommended!!!

I don't know how I lived without this.
This is an amazing tool that is so useful for working on anything you need to clamp and hold at sawhorse height. It is superbly designed and well constructed and I can't really find anything wrong with it. You have to be careful not to use too much force as you can crush more fragile items. But it is a very snug hold and surprisingly stable for the size. It is quick and easy to clamp and lock and then to unlock and unclamp. I've seen several people on here complain that the screw clamp that holds the rear leg is not adequate - they are probably using it completely wrong. That is a secondary hold just to keep the leg from sliding in and out of it's retaining slot. The slot does the holding and when weight is on the leg it doesn't even matter if that screw clamp is loose. You loosen that merely pull the leg out of its slot and fold it up into its stowing slot.

Love it. Hold big or heavy objects, like having a 3rd hand around.
I have some rental properties and I manage some fix-up and renovation work by myself without 3rd hand. From time to time, I run into situations that need another pair of hands to hold stuff for me. I have a portable working bench with vise. But the vise is too weak to hold heavy objects, or wide objects. And my portable bench wobbles. I am so glad to find this jawhorse from Amazon. Majority of the jawhorse are built with metal, only few non-load-bearing components are plastic. It is not only heavy duty, but also very heavy. But that's the good part, its weight helps to keep thing stable. The clamping mechanism is a smart design. I can use both hands to position the object and then use one feet to step on the pedal to clamp the object. And the clamping power is great. When not in use, this jawhouse can be folded down for easy transportation or storage as it really does not take up too much space. In summary, this is a great investment if you need to work on large objects that won't fit in the typical bench vise, or you need additional hands.
