Daaanng...Covers My Grays and STAYS! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying different hair-color products, especially PPD-free options, and Madison Reed is the first one that has actually worked the way I expected it to. I’m a Black male, so I’m not sure how much my hair texture plays a role, but my experience with this product has been excellent. With other brands, my hair and grays would look perfect while the color was on, but as soon as I rinsed my hair, the grays would start showing again. Others might last a day or two at best. This one is completely different. The color actually took, covered my grays, and stayed after rinsing. That alone impressed me. Yes, it’s around $33, but I’ve spent close to $50 on other products 3x that didn’t perform anywhere near as well. For me, this was absolutely worth the money. I can’t speak for the people who gave it lower ratings, but based on my experience, Madison Reed delivered exactly what I was looking for. One tip if you only need a small amount at a time: don’t combine the entire developer and color at once. Measure out only the amounts you need in the correct ratio, using a separate non-metal container, and keep the unmixed portions sealed in their original containers for later. Once developer and color are mixed together, that mixture should be used right away and not stored. 5 stars from me. Finally found one that works!

I like the product did leave my hair looking nice it just had a funny smell but nothing to bad and you definitely need to use everything that it comes with it does stain the skin a little bit 10/10 recommend

For permanent hair dye it certainly didn’t last long. I ordered black when I first dyed my hair it looked good shiny and vibrant. It’s only been a week and a half and it’s already washed out and back to brown. I also had an allergic reaction to it but that’s on me I didn’t do the skin test and I know I have a sensitive scalp. I wouldn’t fault the brand for that just something to consider if you do have sensitive skin.

I stopped dyeing my hair years ago with dye and henna because of allergic reactions . And have been wearing wigs for years due to hairloss and aging process. Until I decided to try one more time with this dye. I did the sensitivity test to make sure and got no reaction ,so I continued to try it on my front hair because that is the only site I need to wer my lace wigs. And I have not gotten any allergic reaction so far! In the past immediately my head would be on fire for days after dyeing my hair. So far I am home free with this . Will update if that changes. The dye is expensive but it is the only dye made that does not use PPD and i am shocked about this. I don't have a problem paying more for a product that will not give me allergic reactions to hair dye. Well update the skin test I did on Monday now I am getting a reaction 72 hours later and on my edges where I put it. Mild itching. Using benadryl every 4 to 6 hours to deal with it. That's it will not be using it anymore.

I recently tried the Madison Reed hair color kit, and while the quality of the product was good, I found it hard to justify the high price. Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re willing to splurge, but there are more budget-friendly alternatives that deliver similar results

I am loving this color. It is a beautiful black and I am feeling good and looking good. I have only ever done the box color you find at a grocery store but I decided to try something new. So far so good!
