Excellent Product!
I couldnโt be happier with the Little Giant Select Series Automatic Submersible Swimming Pool Cover Pump. This thing has been an absolute workhorse. From the moment I set it on the cover, it was completely hassle-freeโthe automatic on/off feature works flawlessly and takes all the guesswork out of it. No babysitting, no worrying about overflow, it just does its job. What really stands out is how quickly and efficiently it removes water. Even after a heavy rain, it clears the cover much faster than I expected. The build quality is solid and feels like itโs made to last, not like some of the cheaper pumps out there. It also runs surprisingly quiet, which is a nice bonus. Setup was straightforward, and itโs been reliable every time Iโve used it. If youโre tired of dealing with standing water on your pool cover or replacing underpowered pumps, this is absolutely worth the investment. Iโd recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a dependable, high-quality solution.

Powerful Pump - Great for Pool Cover or Flood Use!!
This is the Standard Review for Little Giant APCP-1700 115-Volt, 1/3 HP, 1745 GPH Automatic Condensate Pump. The Little Giant APCP-1700 is a powerful and reliable condensate pump designed for moving large amounts of water efficiently. With a 1/3 HP motor and 1745 GPH pumping capacity, it provides plenty of performance for HVAC systems, dehumidifiers, and other applications where dependable water removal is needed. The pump has a solid, durable construction and feels like it is built for long-term use. The automatic operation is a great feature because it activates when water reaches the proper level and shuts off when the reservoir is emptied, reducing the need for constant monitoring. The design is practical and helps prevent overflow issues in areas where gravity drainage is not possible.

Expensive but worth it
Expensive but worth it. I got 4 years out of my last one so I just bought the same model again. They come with 3 year warranty I think. Worked very well till the end to dewater my in ground pool cover in Florida. I really liked the sensitivity and design of the float switch and its magnetic contacts. It was easy to clear leaves and pine needles from the impeller area. There was some minor fiberglass flaking near the end but nothing structural. Only reason I had to replace it was a melted capacitor which is proprietary and the average person can't obtain one. I hope I get 4 more years out of this new one.

Good, simple pump
So far so good. This was a replacement for an older model and it is working great. Only 4 stars until I verify that it doesn't have the same suction issues as the other model. It is very easy to use,but I wish it had a slightly longer power cord.

Great Pool Cover Pump!
This Little Giant pool cover pump works great and has yet to clog (which, unfortunately, cannot be said about a cheaper one I tried).

Still hard at work
We ordered this in Dec 2018. It sits on top of the tarp that covers our in-ground pool during the wintertime. It works like a champ, and as far as pool related purchases go, it's been the best "optional" item we've bought. If you read more informative reviews, you'll note some say to make sure the hose length shouldn't exceed about 20 feet. They are right. Our hose lies across the tarp headed to the nearest edge. We position it so that it's about 12-18" from one of the in-deck drains, and that's how we get rid of the siphoned off water. To keep the hose from flopping around (the water can spout out quite energetically), we slip the end through a hole in a brick (holds it still) and lay another brick over the hose to hold it down. A bonus to this pump is that we use it to empty our hot tub (above ground). Yes, there's a spigot at the bottom of our tub for emptying, but this thing pumps water out SO FAST (I forget the gal/min rate), my husband and I just take turns holding it (because you do not want to submerge the pump). Remarkably fast. The only "issue" we've had with it isn't even the pump's fault. We discovered that which outlet we use for it matters a great deal. We have one on our patio and one inside our pool supply closet. We initially plugged it in to the patio outlet would come home from our Christmas holiday to find the GCFI tripped and the outlet inop and a deep collection of water on the pool tarp. The outlet in the pool supply closet (which is adjacent to the patio) was the better way to go. The good news is the pump, once the outlet was reset, cleared the water off in no time. We highly recommend this little workhorse of a pump!

Works like a charm
Works like a charm. I've used them for years on my pool covers. I also had an exterior stairwell below grade that would occasionally back up with water. I put one of these at the bottom of the stairwell. They only kick on when water reaches a certain level. This was a very inexpensive backup plan to save me from a flooded, fully finished basement. Just attach a small hose for water output, plug in, and you're all set.
