I had bought a cheap car phone mount in the past, and unfortunately the plastic hooks broke after just two weeks of use. I was really disappointed.Presumably because of the cheap clips - doesn’t have the best strength. After being disappointed by other phone holder,the VANMASS car vent phone mount stands out - it is a quality part and does exactly as it is supposed to do. This mount uses metal hooks that become very stable and secure once tightened. The actual product matches the description perfectly - it can perfectly hold my phone in place, and the quick-grip and release function works great. It's incredibly durable and well-made. I didn't really like the mechanism they use to hold and release the phone. Due to the small button in back I kept fumbling to find it and usually had to readjust the holder. Over time I'm sure I'd be able to find it through muscle memory I just found it a bit inconvenient. Also my vents arent sturdy enough to support my phones weight properly so I had to angle the holder at a weird angle that didnt seem very secure for long term purposes. Overall it probably a good holder, just my space was awkward for it. Edit: customer support reached out and was very responsive to my review even offering another design. Unfortunately I already found another product that currently better suits my needs. Am increasing to 4 stars due to customer service. Again, I'd like to stress that my earlier review mainly focuses on the fact that this just didn't suit my needs/space but overall seems like a good product. I cannot speak to long term durability but it felt sturdy and installation as easy.

This is the 3rd phone mount I’ve bought from this company (I’ve lived in extremely hot areas, share my vehicle with others, have a fairly bulky phone case, and know that obviously all plastic will break eventually when exposed to high temperatures— but I get 3+ years out of each one before that happens so I’m very impressed. It’s also never failed at the vent clip or in the mount mechanics, it’s always at the ball joint. So I always assumed the weight of my device and case factor in!) This new mount is an upgraded version from my last one. I love how easy it is to install, how quickly you can make adjustments but also how sturdy it can be once you “lock” into the settings/angles you like. My muscle memory is going to take a bit to stop looking for the release button on the back of the mount (their previous model), but I think the new release button on the side feels easier to work with! My vehicle only has vertical vent slats, and this mount still has no trouble staying in place. I will continue to support this company because I know they make a great product that they’re constantly seeking to improve for their customers. Worth every cent.

Vent mounted phone holder holds up pretty well. I used to have a dashboard mount but with the recent heat, it melted off and my phone was always hot. I like how the mount is adjustable twist and slide on/off so I can use it any other car. Phone holder has a quick release.

This system does not work in all vents. I did not work, for example, in my Porsche Panamera. Even if it does work, it can be too impractical, as in my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee. Also, to some extent one is blocking air flow. That said, I have seen many Uber drivers use them. They seem best for cars with center vents.

It doesn't fall away from the air vents like some competitors, as it has a special hook at the back which holds it firmly in place. I love that I can rotate it to landscape view very easily, by just twisting the holder. It can adjust to different phone sizes and widths. On bumpy roads it stays secure and there isn't any vibration. It was very easy and quick to fit. I have recommended this product to my friends.

Bought this product as I wanted to use a vent based non magnetic mount. Really like the metal clip hook and the solid construction of this unit. With a push button, it is easy to install and remove your phone. I have an older iPhone XS max which is way bigger and heavier than newer phones and this one was able to securely hold it in place. Like all other VENMASS products, build quality is exceptional. Only issue I encountered was the distance between the two vent slots was a little tight for me. However once inside (hook part), all was quite straight forward. This was an issue with BMZ Z4 but it was ok when installing on a different brand of vehicle
