Sturdy and affordable.
Good quality. Feel much sturdier than anything I could find at Home Depot. Highly recommend.

These are some heavy duty staples!
Putting down landscaping cloth and needed additional staples. The staples that came with the cloth were too narrow to provide real holding power. Bought a 75 count pack at a big box store which were wider but they were made from a fairly small gauge wire so they bent easily. Since I knew I had an entire backyard to cover, I decided to purchase a box of 500. Little did I know these staples use a really large gauge wire, just about double the big box variety AND they are both wider and significantly longer! I'm pretty confident these will hold down the cloth in the heavy winds we can get here in Southern CA. Yes, these will bend if you hit a big rock or a tree root, but I only had a handful bend compared to the thin ones. The only caveat to using these long staples is to be mindful of irrigation pipes. Delivery was suppose to be in 6 to 7 days but I got mine in 1 day expedited by the seller. When the postman handed the box to me, he warned me it was heavy. I thought to myself how heavy can 500 staples be? Holy smokes, he was right! I now have more than enough to finish both the front and back yards especially since these are so much sturdier. Thank you Sandbaggy for producing a fine product that is worth every cent.

Beware the reviews from those unfamiliar with anchor staples.
Other reviewers have mentioned the round tops. Yes the picture shows square staples. The ad, however, clearly states they are round top staples. That's why I bought them. The round top doesn't create a pressure point, when I install them as others have mentioned. In fact the lack of square corners makes them far more comfortable in my opinion... and stronger. The shipping is free. So the recent shipping complaints are clearly in places where shipping costs are expectedly high (islands, wildernesses, countries with poor infrastructure, etc.). Others complained about the weight... of course 500 steel staples weigh 20lbs. They're steel. All of the reviews below 4 stars seem angry at the staples for the customer's own circumstances. Also, the coatings on ground staples have nothing to do with rust. Some of the more experienced reviewers don't understand this either. This is a manufacturing lubricant. It's there to let the metal wire slide smoothly through the bending equipment. The more grease or oil on the staple, the more damage you do to your soil. That's the second reason I purchased these staples as opposed to others. It's also a sign of quality materials and good storage practices that very little lube was needed to make the staples and keep them rust free in the box. The last brand I used was COVERED in graphite grease which took days to scrub off my hands. These are awesome staples. I've installed several thousand staples from several companies over the last 4 years from landscaping to crop planting. These are the lessons I have learned. The round top creates a bunching effect when installing plastic or fabric, making the material less likely to tear off the staple on a windy day. The cinch effect also tightens the fabric or plastic you put down. The round top also allows for slightly deeper ground penetration, further tightening your install. The tighter your material, the less likely it is that wind will be able to get under, and remove it causing a re-install. I use black plastic sheeting as a chem-free defoliant that also draws very straight lines for crop and tree plantings. The less space between plastic and dirt the faster it cooks the soil clean. Good staples. If you want square, buy square.

Simple, solid, and they just work
This is a hefty box of staples, and thatโs exactly what you want. Theyโre well formed, donโt bend up on you, and go into the ground without a fight. Not much to say beyond that. They do the job and keep doing it. Hard to argue with something that just works.

These are great for holding down weed barrier fabric, even long stretches of it
I bought this product to help keep the weeds down in my garden and around orchard trees. So far, so good. I can't really say how durable they are since i've had them less than a year in place, but they seem to do the trick. Good price - and since I have a lot of space to cover, I need a lot of these landscape staples. I needed more than I ordered with my first purchase so will be buying more soon!

Sturdy, effective
I was looking to do some landscaping this summer, and I knew I was going to use a BUNCH of these things. All I needed was something to hold down the landscape fabric and some irrigation lines. I was not looking forward to paying the cost of Big Box Stores at like 30-40 per pack. This 500 count is well worth the money. Not only did they work as expected, but I was also able to use them to hold down the edging around flower beds (because I was also not interested in paying $$$$ for enough plastic stakes to actually make the form). Fast shipping, worked great, no complaints. They do get stuck on roots, which is expected, but they will then bend to lay flat - an excellent advantage over the plastic stakes that break and are then useless.

These are great for this Georgia clay-laden soil!
Before purchasing these, we had purchased another brand of staples. The ones we had ordered before these were way more expensive but didn't touch the quality of these staples. With the other brand of staples, probably every third one we used bent while going into the ground (we have a ton of clay mixed in our soil). They seemed pretty thin, weak. The tips of the staples were blunt, very hard to push into the ground. These staples are nice and thick, solid, very well made. Out of the 200-250 staples we used, I think 1 or 2 bent (hit rocks going into the ground). The sharp points on these make them much easier to push into the ground as well. Way easier on the hands! Yes, these staples do rust, but they are holding down landscaping fabric that is going to have pine straw laid over it. Rust just isn't a big deal for our application. I would highly recommend these staples.

GREAT FOR UNDER GROUND DOG FENCES
I bought these mainly to install a new wire for our dog containment fence that was cut in several places. We decided instead of digging the new wire in we would staple to the ground and let nature do the burying. We mowed the path of the wire with the mowers lowest setting and rolled the wire out and put a staple in every few feet. These worked well for what we used them for, they are heavy gauge and can be hammered in tuff spots and long enough to hold securely even dry ground. We used some to hold landscape fabric and put down a couple 60โ coco fiber tree rings. Main reason I bought them here is they are much thicker and a bit longer than big box home improvement store versions. Iโd call these professional grade! I recommend them as they are truly a good product
