Miracle product for odors and stains, affordable, effective
I had to buy this product for a laundry crisis a few months ago, and I wrote a review back then, but I am updating to list some of the other magic this product has done for me. I am continually impressed and ever more reliant on this product, I wish I could give it 10 stars.Odor Removal: My shirts weren't getting clean with cheap detergent so eventually they all smelled very strongly of burnt body odor. I made a paste with the powder and let that work for 30-minutes and it worked. I soaked blankets that had been in the garage for a year and smelled like rubber and oil, as well as some sheets that just always smelled kind of funky, it worked. Dog blankets, smelly shoes, mildewy towels, jackets that smell like smoke, clothes that smell like fried food - all not a problem.Stains I've used this for: Puppy peed and pooped on a white blanket, old blood stains in dark colored undies, new blood stains in very light colored jeans, raw hide crisped to a blanket, dingy white hand towels, the orange powder from cheetos and doritos - all came out.Again, could not be happier with how well this works on all of the crazy stuff I'm up against when I'm battling laundry. The price for this (especially compared to high-end laundry detergents and additives) does seem reasonable. Also, I have sensitive skin and this doesn't give me any problems.

The best
Absolutely the best product for removing stains from fabric. It is not comparable to Oxyclean, which is a fabric whitener. Biz is a blend of enzymes that consume proteins and other components that make up stains. I wash kids' clothes, clothes that get stained with every kind of food, plant, dirt, and blood and other body fluids. In addition to adding Biz to every wash, I keep a two-gallon bucket filled with water and half a scoop of Biz into which I toss all the dirty white socks. After they've soaked for a few days, I toss the socks and soaking liquid into the washer (along with other whites to make a full wash), add detergent, and run the wash. I once left the socks soaking for a month, and they were fine. As with all laundry products, Biz works best in hot or warm water, but I also use it in cold washes. It dissolves well and is still the best product out there.By the way, I have a front loading HE washer, but I gave up on HE washing products long ago. I got sick of having to rewash half or more of every load. And there were still things that came through with stains. I've used powdered Biz and powdered detergent for years now, and my washer is none the worse for it. (I put the Biz and detergent, along with 1 T of citric acid to combat hard water, in the washer before I add the clothes. I also add 1 T of citric acid to the first rinse.) And in most washes, every single thing comes out stain free.Nobody has ever offered me free products in exchange for a review. I've written about Biz to spread the word about a great product.

Gentle and effective in restoring bright white on soiled fabric
Arrived promptly, decently packaged against spills. I have discovered BIZ some 25 years ago, and the formula is still the same and it still works like magic. It is enzyme-based and is gentle, but effective. I use it to pre-soak “greying” or soiled whites. With enough hours of soak time and a couple of water changes, the water runs grey and the fabric becomes white. Great product.

Pretty good for musty linens and towels
Worked well to deep clean my sheets that had gotten musty and slightly yellowed from years of use despite regular laundering.I soaked them in a bathtub 1/3 full of hot water with 2 cups Biz (this might have been too much because it left my linens dry feeling) for 4 hours, then i washed them on a heavy cycle in hot water with tide powder detergent (powder has stronger enzymes than liquid detergents) plus half a cup of biz. The Biz bath soak pulled out so much built up funk that the water turned light yellow. Sorry for the gross detail but I wanted to illustrate that this stuff works really well. Now my sheets smell less musty (not perfect tho) and are whiter. It's a good tool and easy to use but it's not magic. I couldn't revive some pillowcases that just wouldn't release all their odor. It's just time to buy new ones. One downside is it can leave fabrics crusty and dried out feeling. But maybe that's from me using too much, or not rinsing thoroughly enough, not sure.Update: I tried an 8 hour soak on an older white t shirt that is dingy from sweat stains and then washing it but it didn't really help those stains.

More than expected by this single dad
I read about this stuff online but was still impressed— I use it with my towels and they come out way fresher than just plain detergent, and I've also found it very effective with a presoak for eliminating discoloured spots on bedsheets (especially bamboo ones that can't be washed hot or bleached) and persistent stinky bits on pants and sportswear (like biking shorts).
