If I used 2 decks do you think it would work for 6 - 12 people to play?

The real question is, do you want to have more fun? Definitely get a 2nd set and you can play with more people.

What is the average playtime?

A straightforward game might take 20-30 minutes, but if you're cutthroat then it might take longer.

Which is better; this or grampa becks golf game?

Great question! Both games are derivations of the classic game of golf that started out being played with a deck of face cards. Few key differences from Grandpa Beck's game: 1- Golfing Dead includes action cards that help give you an advantage/can disadvantage your opponent and mix up the game a bit and add another level of strategy. 2- Obviously the artwork is unique and depending on your theme/artwork preferences could or could not be a better fit for you in contrast to Grandpa Beck's game of golf.

what size are the cards please?

The cards are 2.48 x 3.46 inches (63 x 88 mm).
