The latches are light duty. I used them on a tackle box my Dad had owned. I knew they were light weight. But I wanted only to secure the box. Not a thief proof latch. I did use a small lock with the latch.

Good replacement for an older clasp on a toolbox.

I used these two latches to replace two broken latches on my Stanley 3 Drawer Tool Chest. The latches are solid and seem well built. My only issues with these latches is that the rectangular section, that locks the upper and lower part together, is not welded or joined together. The rectangular section is just bent into shape and the ends just left pressed next to each other. So if using this on heavier tool boxes like mine (>30lbs), the ends of the rectangular section tend to open out, allowing that latch to become undone. Almost had all my tools spill out of my tool kit because of this. All that being said, these would still work great on lighter tool boxes and actually still work fine on mine. Ever so often, when the rectangular part opens out, I just remove it, bend it back to shape and reinstall. That is usually fine for a next couple months.Ideally, the supplier should add a weight limit to the description of the product to assist buyers in selecting the right product for them.

O.K. I order these latches then realize there are no screws to attach them to my storage box...Buyer beware !!!

The were easy to fit and provided adequate fastening. It would have been better if they had supplied suitable screws.

Product was used to replace broken clasps on tool case. Works great & my mini grinder tool case stays shut. I do use cotter pins as a added security, but no issues with latches.....good value.

The metal used for these latches is so thin and soft that the hasp pulls out of the body of the latch don’t waste your time on these pieces of rubbish

No strong enough for what I am using for, very cheap quality.

no screws sent which is odd second its so thin it wont last long. once it breaks ill return it and look for heavy duty that can stay closed without a lock or a pin placed through the hole
