Great Product and Customer Service
I bought a different water filled umbrella stand along with an umbrella from Lowe's when I needed shade in a hurry to cover my tile saw I had set up outside to work with. That stand was really flimsy and when the sun got on it, the plastic softened and the umbrella started leaning over. Searched for a better one at Amazon and came across this unit. It looked like it would be sturdy which I needed as was not using a table with a hole in the center to help support the umbrella. It worked great as it has a steel post that goes down through the center of the stand to a metal plate at the bottom giving much better support. The umbrella did not lean at all, even when the sun got on the base. I needed one that would use water as the weight as needed the base portable for my work. Flame and Shade also have fantastic customer support. When I was assembling the stand, I thought I was missing one of the parts which is the sleeve that you can add to the base for an umbrella with a smaller post which mine has. After using it for a few weeks, I decided to write to Flame and Shade and see if I could get the sleeve. They said they were all out for the season so just gave me a refund for the whole stand. I was not expecting that at all. Turned out the sleeve was already installed in the base which I discovered when taking it all down. When looking at the instructions, they listed the sleeve as loose piece so thought I was missing it. I contacted Flame and Shade to make things right and pay again for the stand but they said they were not able to reverse my refund or take a new payment so said to think of it as an Early Christmas present from them. I would highly recommend buying anything from this company. They were fantastic even when I was in error.

1/2 umbrella stand
I use one on each side of the pool as an anchor for attaching the divider separating the deep from the shallow end. A perfect size in that it doesn’t interfere when walking around the pool

This product is great for stabilizing our Flame and Shade cantilever umbrella
This product is great for stabilizing our Flame and Shade cantilever umbrella. It's very stable and sturdy with the extra weight added to the base of the umbrella. That said, there are 2 things I would advise anyone purchasing this product:1. The base has a fairly large footprint. It forms a square at the base of the umbrella, approximately 42" on each side. It takes up a fair amount of space, and you should plan on that when determining where to place the umbrella and weighted base.2. You can fill the base with sand or with water, or with a combination of the two. However, I found it nearly impossible to fill it with sand. The opening is small, and the sand I bought at Home Depot was moist when opened. Instead of flowing into the opening like an hourglass, the sand clumped and was very difficult to transfer into the base units. I gave up and filled 3 of the 4 units with water. It works fine, and fills fast with a garden hose, but there is some danger in cold weather. The water can freeze and expand, breaking the plastic base. I will be moving the umbrella off the deck before our first hard freeze. We live in the mountains west of Denver, so that will probably mean stowing the umbrella and base around October 1 each year.Since I had already bought the sand, I'm using it now as extra weight on the base. See photo.

Easy to use/install
I was surprisingly happy that it fit my umbrella that needed a base weight. I added water to my base, and found a whole in 1 of the 4 pieces (It started to leak-- it was very obvious). I contacted the seller and they IMMEDIATELY gave me my money back. Wow, amazing customer service!!!

Wrong base for 10ft Flame and Shade
This base will not fit the 10ft flame and shade umbrella as it is suggested in the description plus it came with no Instructions. I also purchased this based on the promo—you have wasted my time as I now have to return the two I purchased and find a base that fits. Get your description right.Update--The base only fits the Navy Blue version which is a different umbrella structurally from other 10 foot cantilever umbrellas. I purchased an Anthracite color for a different house. They do not really make this clear. I will increase the rating based on their prompt response and for sending instructions but how difficult is it to place instructions in the boxes.

Much better with sand and water than water alone.

Doesn't fit 15X9 umbrella
Everything is good with it the only reason I give it 4 stars is it says that it match with the 15x9’ umbrella and it doesn’t If you wanted for a regular umbrella it will work good.

Pretty good with sand
I like that its plastic so it doesn't rust. But, since there is no hole at the bottom of the pole holder for the water to escape, it will accumulate rainwater and cause the bottom of your steel poled umbrella to rust almost immediately. Otherwise, it's pretty steady and good.

Good built
I am using under the table with an umbrella hole to keep the umbrella upright. Doing a perfect job.

If you have the type of sun umbrella with a cross brace...this a must.Clean look...don't skimp out and put blocks...cheesy and cheap

Good but one broken
We received the package yesterday and when we opened it to fill it with water, one of them was broken. Is it possible to have a refund or another one?

So so
Leaks water. Going to try sand next season to see if that’s better.
