So far so good. Its been one season of boating and seems to work well on my 4500 pound bayliner. Double gear and easy to spin. Installation was easy and the strap seems high quality. Would buy again!

Nice quality 2 speed winch!
I selected this winch because it was not painted and instead was zinc electroplated on all components. I have had painted versions of similar winches in the past that did not last long. Zinc electroplated steel seems to resist corrosion better than painted winches.

Plenty of torque.
I had to drill one hole to install but other than that it was easy. It cranks from the left side as you are looking at the boat which I was use to other side. Also took a little time on figuring out how to engage and disengage. Plenty of torque to pull my boat up.

2 gear axle rods came off due to retaining nuts/washers falling off
I have had this winch for a couple years, and (2) of the gear axles/rods have dislodged because whatever nuts or lock washers that held them on came off. One came off within months, but I've been living with it, as I don't use that gear much. Now another came dislodged (the anti-slip gear) so I have contacted customer support, and will revise my review when they send whatever collar or nut that held each in place, just basic customer support.
