Does Transferrin work the same as lactoferrin? Specifically for dry eyes and autoimmunity?

While we have yet to come across studies specifically for dry eyes and autoimmunity, transferrin works in a very similar manner to lactoferrin. What you will find in our Elite IgG is a near-identical protein called Transferrin, which is quite similar in iron-binding coordination, amino acid sequence, and protein structure. Transferrin makes up 6-7% of the major protein components in ImmunoLin (the patented serum-based immunoglobulins we utilize for Elite IgG).  What makes it better than Lactoferrin, besides containing no Lactose, is that its structure is much stronger and more poly-clonial. This means more of it survives past the stomach through the GI tract than Lactoferrin and binds to more antigenic microbes. Transferrin also binds LPS (lipopolysacharides) and may behave as a bacterial cell wall disruptor.

Question for the manufacturer or seller: Where is this made?

The facility is located in South Carolina, USA. As the website states, products are packaged in the US, test are performed in the US & products are formulated in the US. But some ingredients are sourced from outside places but "not from China" and some products are made in outside facilities (not sure why, something to do with cross contamination regarding some probiotics & other products). So while their company is in SC some products aren't made there. Makes me a bit concerned.....

Tfg-f ? egg%? how long after... was it collected? i am not only for the best product. i have researched this product for about 16 yrs off

Did you mean to type TGF (Transformative Growth Factor) instead of Tfg-f? If so, there is no TGF in our Elite IgG. Our formula contains no eggs (0%). It is also lactose and casein free. The blood is collected immediately.
