There are a few artists, past and alive, that I wish that I could invite to lunch, to discuss their techniques, their visions, how they see the world. Clearly the magnificent artists are the ones who discover “Ars Gratia Artis”, Art for the Love of Art. The designer of this model is one such individual. Pictures of the final model are a worthless gesture when trying the relate the pure fun of the build that this designer went for. At first, I wondered if the designer was insane or a genius. Beneath the skin, and the tiny manual are some unusual and enjoyable techniques that will have you wondering the same thing. My photos are without the stickers, since the car displays so well without any stickers, but after I finish my review, I will finish my model put the stickers on. I have said it before, and I will say it again, If LEGO offered a SPEED CHAMPION of the week set, or even of the month set, great minds like that ones at Mould King (They really need help with their branding) would have never have been discovered. My old loyalties are starting to be tested.Yes, see for yourself. If you’ve already built the entire 2022 lineup of LEGO Speed Champions, take heart! Great for smaller kids (7-9) as well as for adults

When I first started picking up non-LEGO building sets many years ago, the offerings were mostly disappointing. The bricks were usually warped, had waxy finishes, they weren't sturdy; lot of issues. The only brand that matched LEGO almost perfectly was something called "COBI", but they have since moved on to doing mostly World War 2 stuff, not the wheeled street beasts we're hankering for.I'm happy to see that there are more brands now that match LEGO's quality, and offering 8-wide vehicles to plug into our Speed Champions collections.---The brick quality and build techniques for these Mould King sets are as good as any of the sets in the LEGO aisle, with the added bonus of including a display case!I'm not sure if this set is based on a real car, but I'm a sucker for the color scheme so I had to have it. It has snazzy details like an exposed rear engine, optional stickers and chrome wheels. I don't like how the chrome looks on this car, but the wheels are definitely getting used for one of my MOCs.The display case is serviceable, it looks good and can be securely stacked. The corners have connection points so you can attach some Boat Studs (LEGO Part #2654) under the corners if you want to raise the case off your shelf for some reason.It's the perfect size for Speed Champions type vehicles and can even be used for Stuntz bikes with a rider on them.Mine came with a hairline crack on top; that was a bummer. I think maybe the bags of bricks were stuffed in there too roughly and stressed it too much.And yes, you can buy the display cases separately, but they also include a LED kit that bumps up the price. I'd be all over the cases for all my other Speed Champions vehicles if they were cheaper without the useless LED kits that don't even work half the time because they're shoddily built.To round off the complaints, two of the bricks were incorrect; the set is missing two 1x1 blue tiles, you get two 1x1 blue plates instead. I replaced the missing tiles over the tires with blue cheese slopes, and I like the result even more, so that worked out.I hope to see these construction set companies branch out into sci-fi sets, we're in desperate need of them!

Love this little Lego car for my son. Easy to follow instructions and the display case is an added bonus

Great product.The pieces are first-rate - indistinguishable from "the brand that shall not be named."The direction booklet is first-rate as well.The kit surprised me in one way - it was a little trickier than I expected. I've been building these kits my whole life and when I brought this one camping with me I figured it was a quick build - something I'd put together in an hour after dinner, maybe an hour-and-a-half. But in that time, I only got a third of the way through. I also made a couple of mistakes along the way, which I usually (but not always) avoid. At no point could I point to the directions and say "that's wrong", but there were a few steps where it was very tricky to interpret exactly where the piece was supposed to connect. I got very confused at a few points, but fortunately, once I figured out where I'd gone wrong, they were fairly easy to correct. This isn't BAD - a challenge is a good thing - but you might want to give this to a more experienced builder than a beginner, and you will also want to plan more time to spend on it (a good thing since building it is what you bought it for.)Coming with the display box is a nice bonus.Excellent - with a few tricky spots.

The media could not be loaded.  My son is into racing and loves building blocks. This set was a wonderful gift for him. The set is made with high quality, all the parts were included, there were also several spare parts. The parts fit well together and the child had no trouble putting them together. With the set there was a detailed step by step instruction with which our 9 year old child coped on his own. It took him about three hours to complete the assembly. The kit with the designer also includes a plastic exhibition box, with a black bottom to which a ready-made car and a transparent top are attached. My son was delighted and I plan to order other set from this series for him.

Overall I really liked this. The instructions were clear and not hard to follow. Though, some of the colors were hard to differentiate between. The pieces are organized into numbered bags, but the first instruction says to just empty all the bags out. I would have preferred the instructions to go through bag stages, but on a build this small it wasn’t an issue.The finished product looks great! Stickers are precise and it looks really solid. Definitely looks like a more expensive model than it is. Also the display case is great for taking care of your build when you are done.A great set for building block enthusiasts and car lovers alike!
