Fantastic audio even in large family rooms 25 by 30 feet, exceptional product!
In a word "Wow". I have tried several sound bars in recent years and none were acceptable. I am used to using a 750watt 5.2 Receiver with full tower speakers with 3x 5" full range drivers and 1" tweeters. Recently we got some flooring done to our 20 year old floors and we wanted space to look cleaner. I did research and Enter the Polk MagniFi mini, one of my old audiophile buddies introduced me to Polk back in the day and reviews are on point with this setup as punching above its weight class. Dialogue particularly is very easy to understand without having to crank the system up and it fills up my family room with sound. We have vaulted ceiling which is not ideal for how speakers like this reproduce surround sound however the quality is remarkably good. Everyone in my family felt audio across many modes of content was exceptional, this included vinyl records, regular TV, Dolby Atmos, and others. Given this unit is rated for mid size or small rooms I was pleasantly surprised no need to go with a more expensive tier to get rich audio. Dont expect the base to be as good as a full size woofer but for what this is it just sounds great for all around audio at stock settings and makes TV watching and movies a pleasure. Our family room opens to kitchen and even 40 feet away from speaker audio is clear and speach is easy to understand. On my tower setup in stereo I was having to use subtitles or crank the audio up very high without using a center channel. And while for music those have slightly better range the balance of this system and ability to handle Atmos, DTS, and Dolby Digital cleanly and accurately outweighs the need for space taking towers. If you use full towers with center and woofer obviously that would win over this but we are talking about a compact design taking very little space that simply sounds fantastic. We are enjoying watching the Olympics hearing details like ice crackling, clear voices, and symphonic music. I see why this setup won awards and is rated so well! Value is exceptional, connectivity great, and I love that it has the 3.5 jack which we use for our record player to hookup. I also like that the display turns off quickly after adjusting volume so it doesnt distract you with LED lights. This is a great setup for anyone that wants great sound on a budget and you can hook up wireless rears if you want greater rear surround effects. Remote is simple but not needed as when you use ARC HDMI input you adjust volume with TV remote. We found auto setting works perfect for natural sound so functionality is just plain easy and out of box nothing else has compared with this setup to date.

High quality compact soundbar great for smaller spaces.
I was in the market for a soundbar or in a better speaker system for my entertainment setup. I did a decent amount of research reading reviews, watching videos and comparing all my options. Based on my research and my setup, I decided to go with this because it seemed like the best option for me and I am not disappointed. My setup: High end gaming computer with a 42 inch LG C2 OLED tv with 2 additional 4k monitors as well as a work laptop connected to the tv and 1 of the 4k monitors. I wanted a decent sound system that I could hook both my tv and my computer into and still use it while my tv is serving as my main work computer monitor. I also wanted something that could take advantage of the EARC technology and still fit under my tv on my desk. I would like to say this specifically for anyone in my position. One thing that reviews you find online do not seem to talk about this in any way shape or form. I could just be stupid for not picking up on the obvious, but when spending this much money on a speaker system, I wanted to be sure. This soundbar DOES allow you to keep your TV connected through the EARC input as well as your computer connected to it through something like the optical input While using your system described above. I can have my TV using the hdmi from my work computer and listen to something on a 2nd monitor from my personal computer through the optical connection at the same time. Pros: compact design that fits under my tv on my desk without taking up too much space. Sound quality is very good for the size and speakers. Remote is ok and It is easy enough to switch between inputs on either the remote or the bar through the top buttons. Easy to connect the subwoofer to the soundbar. The cords are long enough to cable manage appropriately for even a desk that is completely open underneath . Cons: This could just be my computer/setup, but my optical out/sound drivers do not seem to support 5.1 or this level of sound. I do not get a full immersive surround sound experience while watching dolby atmos test videos on youtube. But, it is basically a 15 inch wide single speaker so I don't hold that against this. I do get a sense of surround and still very happy with the audio quality on this. Another con is that the system seems to have an auto off feature after being quiet/idle for a period of time. On my system, if it does cycle off, it causes my screens to flicker like a computer does when you change your primary monitor to monitor number 2 vs monitor number 1. Another thing that can happen is if I change the hdmi input on my tv from one computer to the other, it changes the input source on the soundbar from optical to tv causing the sound to go out on my computer. Slightly annoying, but not an issue since I can plan for it and just deal with it. But, this could also just be my specific use case setup. Overall I am very happy with this soundbar. If you are like me and using a high end big screen tv like the OLED LG C2 tv, I would suggest you at least put this near the top of your list for consideration.

Great sound
Sounds great but has intermittent Wifi issues. HDMI connection is very reliable, but Wifi sometimes gets stuck and won't accept new connections or takes a very long time to connect. The sound and size make it hard to replace though. It sounds very smooth. The line between the sub and the head unit is so perfectly smooth.

Love this device!
Update July, 2025: Works pretty great except for the random pops the subwoofer makes. They're rare, but they are definitely there. I didn't upgrade the firmware yet (unless that happens automatically?) so not sure whether this issue has been resolved. Dec 2024: I previously used the much higher-end Bose 700 speaker, but I actually prefer the Polk for the overall experience. While the Bose 700 has a more elegant design and probably better sound quality, it lacks any controls on the device itself, has a cluttered and confusing remote, and requires configuration through the Bose remote and app. In contrast, Polk is incredibly intuitive to set up and use. The remote is straightforward and intuitive, and the deviceโs buttons are just as user-friendly. Plus, when using the remote, you get visual feedback directly on the device, which enhances the overall ease of use. Update 1: After few days: I am using this soundbar in combination with TCL TV over HDMI eARC and the compatibility isn't great. Switching between YouTube and Netflix introduces a delay, the sound is often out of sync, the sound sometimes stops or there are audible hick-ups. It's hard to understand which device causes this, but online research shows it's TCL to blame. Casting audio from my Pixel phone to the Polk (so not using TCL at all) is flawless. Update 2: Got another problem, when watching YouTube and someone is speaking, the voice's volume goes in and out, in a wave pattern the volume goes up and down. This even happens when the voice setting is set to zero.

Incredible
This is way better than I expected it to be for the size and price. The soundbar offers clear audio, with dialog coming through cleanly on movies, while soundtracks are expansive. Expansive...another thing that defies belief, and the sound coming from the tiny soundbar is WAY bigger than it seems it should be. Movies explode off the screen. This little soundbar really does create an expansive front soundstage. The sub is unbelievable, too. I'm used to big, bulky boxes, so that something so diminutive could produce the bass it does is nothing short of astonishing. Explosions and slams have considerable depth, while soundtracks and even voices get depth and vertical expansion from the sub. While I was just looking for an affordable way to improve upon my TV's built-in sound, what I got was a revelation. Movies and TV shows are so much more engaging now. This system really performs well. Connecting with eARC means my volume is controlled by the TV remote--still only one remote for everything. The soundbar is appreciably weighty for its small size, but not too much so. The sub is small, but mighty. Caveats? The soundbar is almost too small. I mounted it underneath my TV with brackets extending down from the ceiling mount, and the soundbar was barely long enough to reach the brackets on both ends. Yep, that's about the only thing I didn't like about this system. 25 Nov 2025: Several months later we are still enjoying this system. Watching Red last night, I again appreciated the big sound this diminutive system is able to create. Movies are much more engaging and fun with this vast improvement over TV speakers. Anyone looking for killer movie sound for a bedroom TV, for example, should snatch up this system. We've had zero issues with it.

Unreliable product. Frustrating experience entirely.
Iโm going through the process right now of trying to get a second replacement unit or perhaps some other resolution for what has been an utterly frustrating ordeal for something as low tech as a sound bar. This seems to suffer from feature saturation to the point f being utterly unusable. Sad really. The moments where it isnโt cutting out or just not making sound, again a sound bar, it actually makes good sound. It just doesnโt want you to change the volume and want to be able to also hear while increasing the volume. It goes silent when you push the volume buttons and then pauses a second before revealing the new volume. Itโs like volume roulette. Maybe itโs what you wanted, maybe itโs 100 decibels higher or lower than you expected. Donโt worry itโs high fidelity Dolby atmos with a subwoofer youโll be deaf soon, but not to worry it will just stop making sound altogether shortly so you can call customer support again and negotiate another intermittent unit be delivered in a giant box with none of the trappings of the original one. Which I have they donโt want it back but they must be refurbishing someoneโs units because they are likely going to ship me another next week. Ugh, Polk I had such high hopes.

I could not be more pleased
I was in the process of replacing the TV in our master bedroom. Slight larger and upgrading from LED to OLED. It seemed like a reasonable idea to add a soundbar. I have a Samsung on our Samsung TV and a Nakamichi on our gameroom TV. The Polks stand our as highly rated. I was leaning toward Polk both for function and ratings. I was thinking in the $200-$300 range. I decided to do some more research. CNET, Toms HW etc. I ran across this model that I had not seen previously. It was attractive because of the small footprint and features. I did not want to clutter our room with large speakers, so I decided to go with this even though it was more expensive than I had been planning. I am very glad I did. The good: Easiest setup I have ever done. Connect power to soundbar and sub. Connect HDMI cable to TV. Press and hold power button until soundbar beeps. Complete setup with Apple Air Play on iPhone. It connected to my WiFi, synced with subwoofer and it was done. Set TV to HDMI ARC sound and I was all set Sub sounds great. Dialog is clear. Remote allows separate control of bass and voice. It supports all the new sound formats It is small and compact, my wife loves that. Dislikes Don't have any right now. I would say this is probably the best performing soundbar that I own. Both the Samsung and Nakamichi have downsides. Samsung base is not a clear. Nakamichi has problems with enough volume on voice and no way to control separately. That ends up forcing you to turn volume up high enough to hear dialog then you get blasted when an action scene come up.

No highs and no way to adjust treble.
Pro: Build quality is solid. and the components are very stylish and attractive. The mini speaker bar is a hefty, compact powerhouse while the subwoofer feels light despite its beefy looks. The remote is very nice in the hand and provides for future expansion via wireless rear speakers with the ability to adjust their volume and balance. The sound is very large, on par with conventional, long speaker bars but in a compact package. The center channel is an actual physical speaker, not a "ghost" combination of left and right thus the ability to adjust dialog volume and clarity. Con: My biggest complaint is that there are no "highs" to speak of and no way to adjust treble in any way. What you get out of the box is what you get. There is no equalizer nor buttons on the remote to adjust treble. While bass and midrange/voice are loud, there is a constant resonance from the subwoofer trying to play mids that ends up just being a constant muddy background annoyance. There are buttons on the remote to turn down the bass and turn up the voice but that defeats the purpose of having a soundbar/subwoofer to begin with. There is no native Alexa capability as indicated in the ad. You can connect an Echo device to the soundbar via Bluetooth or cable but there is no Alexa built in. Opinion: I originally bought this setup because I love Polk and have Polk MM car speakers and two sets of Polk home speakers; all of them sound superb with crystal clear highs. This mini soundbar is disappointing though because it's the opposite. Yes it makes big, incredible sound but without any highs, everything seems to be coming from behind a wet towel. Every home and car stereo I've grown up with over the decades have bass and treble adjustments. Even my cheap Vizio soundbars have individual subwoofer, bass and treble adjustments but not this Polk, although it has the hardware (tweeters) to play highs. I love the small form factor, solid build quality and loudness but without highs or a Polk speaker app with a 3-band equalizer at least, I cannot accept.

Great system for the price
Sounds great, easy to setup. Easier than I expected to have the unit "learn" my TV remote buttons, no need for a universal remote. The wireless subwoofer is a nice touch, saves me a wire in the TV stand rats nest. Only thing I don't love is that all the wires plug into the back of the soundbar, not the sides. This isn't ideal because the soundbar sits in front of the tv, and the wires coming out the back mean the soundbar has to sit that extra couple of inches forward from the TV. That's a tiny issue though. For the money, I don't see how you'd beat it.

Great purchase, very happy.
Only used for the past few days but very pleased with the quality of this unit. Sub Woofer is relatively small and the main speaker under the TV even smaller but both sound very good. Remote is a treat to use with full integration into our SmartTV (Samsung OLED) so only one remote needed to do everything.

Big sound from a small footprint!
Sound quality is amazing and very surprising for it's size. I have issues making out dialogue on a lot of shows these days and usually have to crank it (much to the dismay of my wife) but this has a dialogue enhancement feature which makes everything clearer without having to blast it. We also added the wireless surround speakers to complete the package and the sound is amazing.
