Well, THIS was interesting... it's. NOT what you think!
I'm uncertain of how to accurately review this item. The reason I'm uncertain is that I never got it! I received something different. Different, and probably better. I will revisit this review in a few weeks to update my experience of its performance. See the picture they show? One solar panel, an LED lamp and battery housing with a PIR sensor dome, knobs for the bracket adjustment screws... pretty clear. The thing is: I didn't receive that! I got this: TWO large solar panels, and a lamp/battery unit with two leads, and NO PIR DOME. Well, the thing I liked about this thing is that it was described as a low level light, that switches to very bright for thirty seconds, when it detects motion. Makes sense, right? No. This one seems to be on full all night. NO MOTION DETECTOR!!! It has a large lithium ion battery, and lots of solar panel, with LEDs to indicate state of charge, charging in progress, and battery condition (and LED indicating OK / not OK). Well, okay, I like lots of light all night illuminating my construction site, so we shall see. Does it stay on all night? Is it adequately bright? How long will the traditionally lame Chinese lithium batteries last? I will let you know. Additionally, the instructions are way way off. You had better be moderately mechanically adept to make it through them. Even down to the fact that the bracket for the lamp/battery unit is asymmetrical, and they tell you to use the wrong bolts, but the right ones are barely long enough to grab two threads, and the washers and nuts are oddly oversupplied and underdescribed... but the solar panel required a different bolt AND nut on one side only, due to sloppy caulking and framing, well... you get it, right? So in conclusion, this COULD be a solid deal, but it depends on if it stays lit all night. Tune in for the exciting conclusion to this riveting drama! And say loose. Improvise!
