Awesome rack for the long haul
Great product and does everything you need. Easy assembly and holds enough weight for a week vacation on the road.

Worth every penny
Great product as advertised. We love it! We are an Overlanding group and this tent does a fantastic job for Black Sheep Overland Adventures.

Noisy
The roof rack was very noisy. From speeds as low as 20mph the wind noise created a low hum and got progressively louder until at 65 mph it was unbearable. I asked for a return due to this noise because of the poor design and the company refused to pay return shipping. I was refunded my original purchase price but the cost to ship it back cost me $248 dollars.Save yourself the same mistake and look for a better designed unit that has the wind deflector designed in. I decided against purchasing another unit.

I’m very happy with it
I got this rack because it allows me the option to still remove the forward freedom panels on my 2018 JL.Installation wasn’t too bad — I did it all on my own. Be sure to use caution prying up the plastic hinge covers on the rear window, and have lots of rags or other padding (moving blanket, old rug, etc) handy for maneuvering the heavier main rack pieces into position without scratching up the roof if you’re doing it alone like me. I did decide to add some silicone around the main joints before affixing them, as I wanted to be extra sure the thing would be nice and weatherproof. But everything fit snugly and went together nicely. Some reviews have mentioned the noise that this rack created, especially at speed. That has not been my experience. Even with a hard shell, a little noise is to be expected in a jeep wrangler. But I didn’t notice any substantial increase after installing the rack. The my first test of this rack came shortly after installing it about 10 months ago when I drove almost a thousand miles to an annual family camping trip with four bins of camping equipment (probably in the neighborhood of 120 lbs or so) tied to the roof rack. I threw a tarp and one of those cheap stretchy cargo nets over the top in case of rain, as I’m too cheap to drop a ton of money on nice waterproof overlanding boxes that I’d only use three or four times a year. This configuration did beautifully, as everything stayed bone dry despite spending about half the drive in the rain. The noise wasn’t bad despite my setup being far from aerodynamic.Almost a year in, the rack is still holding up great. I have noticed a small bit of very superficial rust around the joints and the welds at the brackets, but about 3 minutes with some oil and a rag took care of it. If I was really concerned about it, it wouldn’t take much to come up with a little more substantial prevention techniques, but the tiny amount after almost a year spent driving around near saltwater is okay in my book. All in all, I’m very pleased with this rack. Oh and it probably goes without saying from the dimensions, but if you’re considering throwing a tent on top of your jeep, this isnt the roof rack for you. But it is perfect for hauling around all that camping gear to free up space inside of your vehicle. Camping is a lot more fun for me, my girlfriend, and our two large dogs when we don’t feel like Tetris blocks. Hope someone finds this helpful.
