After far too long a break from playing, my wife and I were recently able to get her an electric piano so she could once again play. She has been away from it for a few decades, so needing something she could at once play, enjoy for the music, and get back into the swing of playing, we found this Contemporary Disney: 50 Favorite Songs (Piano-vocal-guitar) along with a book on classical music. Each offering their own rewards. Now, she played in through high school and into college but as life does, dropped away, so she is an adult coming back to things. She had found this Contemporary Disney: 50 Favorite Songs (Piano-vocal-guitar) to be well done and allows her to already come up to speed on much of the music here. While she continues to get her feet under her, she is finding music here to practice and help. The fact that it’s Disney music makes it all the more fun - we are both Disney fans. In the end, she’s still getting things back up and going, but already finding this Contemporary Disney: 50 Favorite Songs (Piano-vocal-guitar) to be a joy. She is happy to recommend it.

How stinking cute is this?! The book is better than the photos!! So many songs, from the classics to the newer stuff!!

It was a struggle to find piano books that did not have dumbed down songs. While I am a beginner player for piano, I know how to read music and can dumb music down myself by only playing the melody if desired. This book seems to have the whole score for each song, and I love playing so many songs that I remember from my childhood and even the newer Disney songs. I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking for these type of songs. The only issue I have is with the binding. It does not allow pages to stay in place well. A spiral bound book would have been more practical for such a large book, but I am sure cost and look was a factor.

Love the arrangements and selections in this book. Great for intermediate players - challenging enough to spend some time figuring it out, but not too hard for those with small hands. If you love Disney, this is the one for you.

Delighted with this book of sheet music

El libro es enorme y una auténtica fantasía. La calidad es inmejorable, aunque si que es verdad que en algunas partituras faltan algunas voces, por otro lado al ser un aprendizaje de piano para personas con medio-alto nivel (yo tengo un grado profesional en otro instrumento y solo tenía conocimientos de piano acompañante) este detalle lo simplifica. La parte del piano siempre dobla la melodía de la voz y están los acordes para instrumentos como la guitarra o el ukelele.

Les mélodies sont vraiment sympa, elle sont vraiment belles. Le seule soucis, c'est qu'au début et à la fin du livre, c'est compliqué de le faire tenir ouvert sur un pupitre sans plier le livre dans tous les sens.

Ich habe nach den bekannten Songs aus den frühen Disenyfilmen gesucht, da meine 3 jährige Tochter gerne singt und gerade sehr an den König der Löwen Songs interessiert ist. Die Klavierstimme doppelt meist die Gesangsmelodie, was ich leider in den allermeisten Songbooks finde. Schön wäre auch eine reine Begleitstimme. So ist es aber eine tolle Grundlage für das gemeinsame Erlernen der Songs. Also genau das, wonach ich gesucht habe. Da die Akkorde (auch mit Gitarren-Griffbildern) notiert sind, bietet sich eine eigene Interpretation, bzw. Begleitung ebenfalls an.
