Firm
Not your average soft brush. This brush is firm for a soft brush but since it’s a wash brush it will probably naturally become softer as you use it all the time. Lots of pull, this brush can be classified as a medium to some people in my opinion.

It’s like a firm soft brush
The brush I received has a decent finish, however, a bit of the gold paint is coming off on the brand. That really doesn’t bother me. It’s a tool to be used—cute, but a tool. Ultimately, aesthetically, it’s fine.The bristles surprised me as being much firmer than expected. Granted Torino Pro has a huge selection of each firmness (Soft, Medium, Hard), so I’m not bothered really. I noticed that I could step up from my #1990 for more pull as my hair grows. So it definitely has its place in the lineup.My evaluation: For my hair texture, length, scalp sensitivity, this is not an ideal softness to smooth my hair down. But it may be perfect for someone else with different hair length, texture, sensitivity, etc. it’s all subjective. I can definitely say it feels more like a medium brush to me.
