Perfect for a 225ci slant 6
Holy moly if this isnt the best carb ive put on my 225 slant 6. Opened it up to see the stock jets it ships with. Saw 145's in the mains, felt it was a little small, so tossed a 155 and 160 in (i didnt have two of either so i figured eh close enough) and holy moly. Didnt touch the air correctors (ships with 170's) and didnt touch the idle jets (ships with 45's) and this sucker scoots! Prior had a dgv 32/36 on the car, and it ran out of steam at 4200rpm. With this 38/38, im going up to 5000rpm and still pulling. Easy to adjust, had to grind out a little on the front left mounting hole as i use bolts instead of studs, and had to remove the chose assembly to get the back right bolt in. But other then that. Absolutely in love with this carbs first impressions, absolutely worth the money.

Worth it and seems good.
This works well on my 1800cc MGB engine. Although I think it might be a little large. I have a 32/36 coming and we'll see. This does work great but I have a little stumble at take off but it might be jetting or the carb is just to big. I did notice some play in the throttle plate pivot bushing but hopefully it has orings since it runs good. I can't see if it has them or not. For the money, just try it.

Impressed.
I had reservations about such an inexpensive carb, but now I’m impressed. The carb has a high quality of fit and finish. I opened up the top of the carb expecting it to be full of debris and flash but it was spotless. I even text fitted some Webber jets and they fit perfectly. I bought it to replace a Webber 32/36 on an 1800cc MG and it’s like night and day. The motor makes more power and the power comes on more quickly too. The gas mileage dropped some but it’s been well worth it. I’ve put thousands of miles on it already with no issues at all. I’d recommend it.

What a difference!
So for starters I choose to run named brand things when it comes to my vehicle but I usually pay the high price too I bought this carb as a last resort to give it one last try with a carbureted engine before I went to fuel injected no need to now ..so I have a 87 wrangler with a 4.2 no vac lines and hei dizzy..I started with a genuine Webber 32/36 that' seemed what most people did on the forums and for months I could never get it tuned right I tried everything but change the jets and as much as they cost for 30$ more I could get a new knock off 38/38 and it was night and day difference right out of the box ..it doesn't come with gaskets or throttle plates or any directions but transfer everything over just like a 32/36 if you run that ..and buy a small roll of gasket maker and trace out your old gaskets and make new ones or u can just buy some and use your old linkage also ..so I tuned mine as follows 1 turn on BOTH mixture screws on either side of the base of the carb and half turn on the idle screw that's a good starting point and go from there but this carb is amazing and packaged very well and cheap too! 5 stars all day long ! But remember every engine is a lil different ! Only been on for a couple weeks let me just add that but the power is crazy

Excelente carburador, buen rendimiento
Se instaló sin problemas y el motor quedó funcionando mucho más estable. La aceleración mejoró y los materiales se sienten de buena calidad. Muy buena relación entre precio y rendimiento. Lo recomiendo para quienes buscan un reemplazo compatible.

Great value
Nice carb, perfect fit on an old jeep. The build quality is not great, the original carb is nearly twice as heavy and you can see in the photo there’s a bracket that is bent and the bolts aren’t even tightened all the way because said bracket doesn’t seem to fit like it should. However this didn’t seem to effect the function of the carb. I put this carb on and the car now idles much smoother and doesn’t randomly stall out like it used to. This did need a slight adjustment but it has worked really good so far. Much easier than rebuilding the original or spending an arm and a leg on a new carburetor. Overall it’s a well functioning carburetor at a low cost. Price: 9/10 Function: 9/10 Build quality: 6.5/10 Fitment: 10/10
