Got this for around 4.6k after discounts, at this price its a decent device. Many reviews and other documentation seem to imply that there is no web interface, but there is a web based interface available.I received the v2 hardware revision as expected which seem to support cameras upto 8 MP and more simultaneous viewing. I have ordered few VIGI IP cams which I'm yet to receive but I had a no-brand PTZ IP cam lying around, was able to add that cam to the NVR and it worked great. Even the PTZ functions worked as well.I haven't tried the desktop app, but the mobile app is simple and decent enough. Web interface also work decently, but there is certainly improvements that's necessary. Some PTZ functions do not work over the web UI for example.

I bought this NVR on 1st November 2023 and till date (29th July 2024) i havent been able to stream my CCTV footage on this NVR. I am able to add the 8 CP Plus cameras that support ONVIF on this NVR but all of them keep on showing “Not Connected”. Meanwhile all of the cameras are able to stream video on Happytime ONVIF Client using my desktop.I have been in touch with TP Link support but there hasnt been any solution till date. Definitely waste of money

I have this for about 2 weeks, installed 2TB Western digital hdd and connected to 2 IPC. Both are TPlink cameras. If I restart this NVR then I have to add back cameras. Basically an issue in NVR as it tracks cameras by IP address not MAC id. Please fix this. Please start tracking cameras by their MAC so that I don't have add them each time I restart.To overcome this problem I have fixed the IP address of those cameras in router. With this I don't have to add cameras again and again.

Tp-Link VIGI 8CH NVR is the Best in its class. Just Plug & Play. No complicated settings. VIGI IP Cameras get added automatically. It supports 10GB HDD. I added 8 Vigi cameras, all 4MP. The bandwidth 80Mbps easily supports 8 cameras of 4MP. It also supports ONVIF. You can add Third party cameras without any extra effort. Built quality of this NVR (VIGI NVR1008H) is premium. Nothing special. GUI is old, no event sorting. You have to manually look for events. Needs to be restarted at least once a month. If you are store owner and just need a system for recording, this system is for you. Zoneminder or Frigate are 10+ ahead this solution!

Bietet viele Möglichkeiten an Cloud Betrieb oder on Prem, je nachdem, was man möchte.

Bought a cheap ONVIF camera to connect to this. Camera works fine, connected via Blue Iris in seconds. This just fails with an 'Unknown error'. It's useless, as I don't want to pay 5x the price for TP Link cameras. Utterly uselesss.
