Bought this because the crappy AAA battery in my Honda (with ZERO electrical drain!) is refusing to hold a charge less than halfway through it's warranty!I've jumped my Honda's tiny 4 cylinder multiple times BUT I've also used it to start my landlords ancient range-rover and also my friends 8-cylinder F-250 pickup.Unlike many of the cheapo Chinese models this one is worth buying! 5 stars.

This RUGGED GEEK Jump Starter is one of the Top 10 greatest vehicle gadgets I've ever purchased for any car or truck I've owned.A must-have especially for road trips and or if you have an older battery. Bought this for our 2nd Gen Toyota Tacoma. I do go camping and offroading. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to use this for six months every time we started the truck as the battery we wanted wasn't available. I kept the RUGGED GEEK charged properly and it never failed. Also so handy to help other people makes you a superhero! :)DRIVING TIP.buy one of these for a long road trip. Also, buy one for everyone you care about that drives, especially if they drive at night or when the clocks change and it gets dark earlier in the evening, late afternoon. You won't have to worry about their car battery dying and they're sitting in a parking lot or side of the road.It's also great for an emergency charge of your phone or other mobile devices. It also has a nice bright LED lite and LED flasher. Also, 12V Air Compressor/Pump gets the job done when it needs!They have big amp models and larger ones too. With this type of emergency device, bigger is better. Get at least the 1000 amp,I'd love to test out the other products RUGGED GEEK makes. This one is spot-on perfect.

For myself and my family, a device like this is not going to be used on a regular basis but in time of need, you need it to work. That time came up this holiday weekend and this device did not come through. Charge stated 72% at the time I needed to jump start our 4-cylinder Mazda 3. This device would not turn on. Being fair, it has been a year since the purchase and figured it was just dead. Luckly, I also carry jumper cables. Trust issues.....long story. When we got home, first thing we did is put it on the charger with the cables and charge box provided at the time of purchase. As soon as it was plugged in, it read 72% charge level? Odd. Maybe it was something we missed? Maybe there were additional steps needed other than pressing the ON button? Nope, our device is stuck on 72%, it would not accept additional charging and the device still would not turn on. This devices ONLY function is to show a charge level at 72%. I see so many good reviews, I kind of feel bent that I received a defective unit and not finding out until I actually needed this to bail us out of a jam. I see there are some reviews that are similar to mine. I have made numerous attempts to contact the supplier, RUGGED GEEK through Amazon and through their Amazon page. No luck. It will drive you mad the deeper you dig. My personal opinion, you are taking a chance with this device or any device offered by RUGGED GEEK. Customer service seems nonexistent. Maybe this review will prompt a contact? There does seem to be good units out there but if you get a defective device like I believe I did, gonna have to chalk it up as a loss and know that someone told you so.

I bought this for some camping I will be doing this summer. I wanted a jump starter for the truck, and an air compressor for bicycles, air mattresses and other items the kids have. Having the USB ports are nice to to charge the phone and my blue tooth speaker also.What I really like is the large numbers that show how much charge is left and the heavy duty case to protect everything. This will pack nicely in the truck or when I throw it in my A-bag with the other gear.

As luck would have it, about a month after receiving the product my car battery died. I pulled out my Rugged Geek and hooked the leads onto the battery terminals, cranked up the engine and it started up within seconds. I checked the display on the Rugged Geek panel and was pleasantly surprised that it only used 3% of the device's stored charge to get the job done. This is a very impressive product. Works like a charm and very easy to use.

This is my third Rugged Geek, I bought my first one in 2018, lost during travel, it worked so well and I bought the 2nd 2019, charged my car etc till the charging portal got loose and didnot take charge any more in 2022. So I bought my third one in Nov 22. Rarely used… when I use, it does charge my car but I have to keep pressing ‘boost’, it won’t charge continuously like the previous model did. I cannot find any contact for customer service to ask questions. Plus I cannot find the same model on Amazon anymore. If anyone knows more info, please let me know

This is my second one of these jump battery systems. I had the first one for 5 years and used it to jump mine and others vehicles as well as charge my phone and fill tires with air using the included aur pump. This unit comes in a carry case with the air compressor and associated accessory air needles.Great item and works perfectly

don't waste your money on getting the tire inflator package, just buy the jump pack. the tire inflator is pretty garbage. used it three times and the hose broke off. cheap plastic connection. the jump pack though I have helped a few people with and it's always come in handy. I live in Wisconsin and even in Sub-Zero temperatures it does the job and helps people.
