I always get puzzles for my grandkids for Christmas. This one in particular is of good quality. Took awhile before they could get their "prize", but they loved it.

Fun puzzle to put money or gift cards in. Fun to watch the recipient get so frustrated try to open every which way . Very simple solution to open. I have purchased for 3 different people and loved each one trying to open. Made very well with good quality wood. Nice to give instead of a card for money or gift cards.

I was very happy with the quality of this puzzle given the price. A gift card from off the rack at a grocery or drug store fits well (as opposed to one you may buy directly at a store that folds into an envelope, that may be tight but still work). It’s a great way to make something that may feel a little less personal like money or a gift card a bit more special or creative. We gifted it to a 13-year-old and he and my daughter, who is great at puzzles and the same age, spent about 30 minutes trying to get it open until they waived the white flag and scanned the item on Google for a hint. Regarding a reviewer who said it didn’t come with directions on how to solve the puzzle—if it comes with the instructions for how to get the gift inside, which mine did, that’s how you solve it. It doesn’t open any other way. It simply locks into place after you put the gift inside, and to get it out, you repeat the same steps. Highly recommend!
