Will this interface as an audio interface whereby I can get 4 separate channels into my MacBook?

No....Your macbook will not even recognize it as an audio Interface when connected to your pc or laptop like it claimed to be by the description let alone use it to record. But Note that you can use it externally but not internally in your DAW... sucks....right?

Great little mixer and does what I need

I am setting up a voice over booth, for Video Tutorials, so I need a mic pre amp and USB interface, so I got the USB Mixer-5. It works great and sounds good to my ear. It works with Garage Band, if you have a guitar or keyboard, and one amp. I did have a hum, when the MacBook was connected to the wall, but when I disconnected the power cord, the hum went away. So I recored with the MacBook unplugged which give me several hours of recording time. If you are looking for a nice little inexpensive mixer, this may be the one for you.

It doesn’t work as advertised

I bought this to record directly to my Mac using garage band. It won’t input. It appears to pick up the input, the Mac recognizes it. The issue is, it won’t output USB data so I can record......lack of documentation, and support .....this thing is a waste of money
