PowerXL Power AirFryer 5.3 Quart Deluxe with Cookbook

It takes a little trial and error- but it's worth it. We are enjoying chicken fingers without oil! I ALMOST returned it- because I couldn't get the drawer to go back in half way through the cooking time. After A LOT of playing with it- I discovered the secret. Tip the drawer UP as you insert it... Works every time.

Amended Review. . . I don't use this very much, it sits on a shelf and collects dust. I get so aggravated with it because when you close the drawer to shake the contents or turn them over as told to do, when you put the drawer with the basket back in, it won't come back on to finish cooking. I would have to pull it out, put it back in, out, back in, over and over again. Meanwhile, you are wasting a lot of time. This last time I used it, it wouldn't turn on initially. Normally, it would work initially but not this time. I put it in, back out, back in, back out, etc. Finally, it worked. When I cleaned it a piece that holds the basket in is broken off. I have had this for 11 months and the LIMITED WARRANT is only for 6 months. I contacted the buyer and they said to go through the warranty. For the price of this air fryer I have wasted my money! Read the reviews, I am not the only one complaining about this drawer issue.

Great product. Now we all can enjoy 'air fried' chicken, salmon, mozarella sticks, hamburgers, vegetables, broccoli etc without the guilt of eating excessive fats and calories !!!!!! you cannot even tell the difference between the actual fried and 'air fried' foods.

I LOVE this Power Air Fryer XL 5.3 Qt Deluxe!!!! It is the best thing since, sliced bread and butter. I would recommend this to anyone. Everything comes out perfect. Mine cooks faster than the times given, so you would want to check 15minutes before the time is up so you don't overcook anything.

I purchased the Power Air Fryer XL kind of on a whim. I watched the infomercial and I was hooked. When it came, it was a bit intimidating, but after reading the instructions, the recipe book, and watching some youtube videos I felt I had a handle on it.It's very easy to use once you get a handle on the menu button. There are preset time/temp for certain foods or you can manually set the time and temp. I've fixed mostly chicken (legs, thighs, breasts, wings) and the key is turning the chicken. The first time I air fried the chicken, I didn't turn it, and the coating was odd. The next time, I turned it about every 10 minutes or so and it was perfect. It saves on oil and time cleaning up the mess. We made chicken wings and they were better than a deep fryer and/or oven. They were awesome.Here are the things we noticed that you might want to be aware of 1) when air frying something with a lot of fat (thighs, ect) the unit will smoke. You just have to pull out the basket, drain the grease and put it back in. It's a pain, but the results are awesome. We made a batch of thighs and had to drain the grease twice, we made a batch of legs and didn't have to drain it at all. 2) you will need to season your meat more. Since you are getting the flavor from the oil, the "taste" of whatever your air frying might be a little bland. We just use more seasonings and that works for us.Other than those two little issues, we love it. It's a breeze to clean and seems much faster than baking or even pan frying.

Purchased for myself, was hesitant at 1st. and only used it for French fries, especially sweet potato fries. I have since then I use my air fryer to fry everything from bacon to BBQ ribs, yum and in 20 mins. I recommend others give it a try. Clean up is a simple task and unit fits on my countertop taking up minimal space. Enjoy

I really really wanted to like this but it just didn't work. I tried the simple mac and cheese recipe but it didn't cook the noodles and it had to be pitched. Then, I tried to do a chicken. I cooked it half way, according to directions, and then took it out to flip the chicken. The basket would not fit back in no matter how many times I tried. I ended up having to pitch the partially cooked chicken and then once the basket and plastic cooled, it fit back in. Had to return it.

This worked FANTASTIC! I have used it for a turkey roll for Thanksgiving, Fish and chicken - each time it comes through as it has advertised. The only draw back I have and I claim this as operator error is getting the fryer drawer back in after I have turned the food for a second time. Once I find the niche it goes in and re-activates but I have to try a few tries to ensure it is properly closed or the unit will not work. The cook book has a lot of great ideas to try and I look forward to trying a few for New Years. My only real grip on this is once I got it - the new Oven came out - hahaha I should have waited BUT I am happy with what I have. Would highly recommended it.
