Misleading advertisment
The product is good and works well. The Amazon advertising is misleading as it shows 2 tags per order and no where does it detail exactly how many come in the package. The only information relating to quantity is the picture which shows two tag covers.

Dog gone great
Each year the dog tags get a little thinner. This year Rover’s tags snapped in two a month before they expire. And now she has a three year tag. So, after setting out to find something that could protect her tags, the ThunderCover Dog Rag Silencer appeared. Although it’s meant to silence clanging tags, it also has a great feature of protecting the tags from damage. And yes, they are quite silent. So, for protection or silence, these are a great buy!

Works good. No noise.
My first one lasted a couple years, so it’s a good value.

Very pleased - no friction or tangled hair!
The media could not be loaded. I was concerned that the new cover might cause friction and catch in my dog’s long chest hairs, but nope. He’s a shorty so his tags banged against the metal bowl when he ate, poor guy - but not anymore. Small dog tags fit snugly in the small but. I should probably turn the front one around to reveal the phone numbers instead of his name (Doug.) Very pleased with the product and highly recommend!

Perfect!
I don't like clinking dog tags. Previously I have gotten 2 custom made small plastic tags with all the info--name & contact #s, city license, rabies, chip info, etc. and I didn't use the tags provided by each of those entities. I was never sure if I was completely legal not using the official rabies tag or if my dog were lost, would they see the rabies info? Also, we got a new rabies tag but the city license doesn't expire for a while.I decided to try something new this time and reserached all the tag silencers on amazon. I am glad I tried this mini silencer for my 15 pound dog, about the size of a big cat.I was able to fit the city license (1.5" bone) and the new rabies tag (sort of a sunburst) in this holder. It was a tight squeeze. I carefully used needle nosed pliers for the last little bit. I left the plastic bone with my dog's name, my contact info, and chip info, outside the holder. I put the license and rabies tags back to back so the information on each can be read through the plastic. In the illustration on the product page, I think the bone shown inside the small ThunderCover is the 1 1/4" bone. Our 1 1/2" bone just barely fits width-wise.This is soft flexible plastic. The bottom is open. You slide the tags up till the holes match. Our large rabies tag hangs out the bottom a little but it doesn't matter.I didn't use the supplied connector because there are a number of reviewers of the larger ThunderCover who said it came apart while in use. I used a 3/4" split ring. It was pretty difficult getting it through the ThunderCover since it's thick and soft but it was worth it to me for security. If I hold my dog's collar in my hand and shake it, there is still a little noise, but in real life use around her neck, I don't hear a thing.I am uploading some pics. Sorry, there is no way I could get a picture of it while on my dog, who hates having her picture taken. But it doesn't hang down too low as I was afraid it might, especially using a larger split ring.

Great idea badly executed
This is made of super thick clear material that will fit one (and only one) tag. If you have more than one tag, it will not fit inside this and it will not lay flat against the outside because it's so thick there's no room on the tag ring. So it's great for a single tag if you want to make it 3 times its previous thickness, but then what's the point? You don't need a silencer if all you have is one tag.

Quiet, but pricey.
Love that it makes the tags quiet. Hate that it costs so much.

So quiet!
Absolutely perfect! Silenced the dog tag clinking and you can still read the tag!!
