Warner Manufacturing 5-Gallon Plastic Bucket & Pail Opener, 556, Large

This is a very useful little tool that has made it so much easier for me to get into my five-gallon bucket of barley. Before getting this opener, I wrestled with the bucket with various tools that weren't designed for the job and it took quite a while. That's all in the past. Now, I can pop open the bucket in seconds. It's all one piece of plastic and it's nice and thick and sturdy. It's nicely finished and doesn't have any snags or rough edges. It's easy to wash and doesn't take up much room. The manufacturer was also kind enough to put an opening into the end of the handle in case you'd like to hang it.

I had several leftover 5 gallon buckets of builder paint with stuck on lids. I fought for awhile with screwdrivers and hammers to get them open. Out of exasperation I did a YouTube search to see if anyone had any suggestions. One video showed a 6 year boy use this tool and open the bucket in a minute! It works!! I may never need to use this again but I'm glad I found it. It applies just the right leverage to break the dried paint on the seal and pop the lid. Also the one I was sent was green not black as shown.

I buy dog food by the 50 lb. bag and store it in 5 gallon plastic pails to keep it fresh. Until now I've been opening the lids with my fingers. If you have ever tried this, it is not an easy task and you usually have sore fingers by the time you pry all of the tabs up enough to get the lid off. I can't believe how easy it is to open these pails with this pail opener. This tool simply does the job. It's sturdy and easy to use. It's very inexpensive and worth every penny.

Works as described it's more robust than you would think as long as you use it properly I keep for 5 gallon containers of rodi water for my saltwater aquariums with lids keeps debris out and the water pristine and this tool saves my fingers and knuckles from trying to get them open

It's not a tool you need everyday, unless you deal with buckets with lids everyday, but when you need to remove a lid it's almost impossible without a tool like this. I've removed several stubborn lids from bucket with no damage to the tool and minor damage to lids. It's the perfect size for comfort and leverage. Nice and light but fairly bulky if you store it in your pocket due to the force required to remove stubborn lids.

I was skeptical that this opener would work well if at all due to the low cost and plastic construction. I'm very pleased to say it works perfectly and seems very sturdy despite being made of plastic. Yes, it's shorter than most of the aluminum pail openers I've seen and people with low physical strength or joint issues may prefer a longer device to exert more leverage. I found it to work very well without much effort at all to open a new previously unopened pail with it and I recommend it emphatically. It's also made in the USA, which a big bonus in my opinion.

As advertised making the large paint, fertiliser, ice melt plastic lids etc easy to open! So happy to have it!
