Best Juice Around
I use Johnny's French Dip Au Jus in place of onion soup mix and/or beef bouillon when making shredded beef sandwiches, pot roast, and just about anything made with beef. It makes everything taste so good - a real depth of flavor. It can be difficult to find at my local stores - I was thrilled to get it delivered!

Pretty Decent, but dilute more than instructions. Details below!
First off, the price here on Amazon, though it seems high for what it is, a small 8 oz. bottle for $7.50 each, is about 2X the shelf price in a grocery store. But it does include shipping, and on the Johnny's site, it's like $3.25 plus shipping, coming out to about the same as Amazon once you add shipping. If you can manage to find this in the grocery store, get it there. I couldn't so I broke down and got it on Amazon. The instructions say dilute 2 parts water to 1 part concentrate then bring to a simmer for 10 minutes. OK, did that and tasted ... holy moly, this is still way too strong and had a very sharp taste to it. So I diluted more with about 1 more part water. Hmmm ... still a little sharp, not as much as before, so I added a little beef bullion (the kind in a jar as paste), just a teaspoon. Simmered and tasted, yes, that's much better but a little too salty. The way to counter salt, is sugar, so added a little sugar. Start at 1 teaspoon and taste ... yes, it cuts the saltiness to a smoother flavor profile.I can live with this mix ... maybe not as good as a high end restaurant, but for a ready mix, pretty good now. So, by adding a few things to the mix, it comes out pretty decent and makes great dipping for roast beef sandwiches or prime rib. Just wanted to pass on these tips for a real improvement to the concentrate out of the bottle. I hope this has been more helpful than a one line review.

Fast shipping, exact product
This was exactly what I was looking for and it shipped and arrived quickly. It was a little bit more expensive than what I could buy in the store, so I took a star off for the price. This is perfect and delicious to make for French Dips. Also, after you make it, it can be stored in the refrigerator for a bit. This is a concentrated sauce, so you just add water and heat. It's the best au jus I've found.
