Office workhorse!
I work in a transmission shop and we do a lot of paperwork for each individual order. We process 15-20 orders a day on some days and some of these orders have upwards of 12-15 sheets in paper in them. This stapler has no problem stapling through all of these pages at once. The only complaint that I have is that you have to have the paper perfectly straight into it's "mouth" to get it to activate and apply the staple. But it still works really well. I don't know what we would do without it at this point. Hand staplers just weren't cutting it.-As a mom of 3 kids, I spend a lot of time shopping for deals on the best products out there for my family. It's important to me that if we're spending our hard earned money that we get a top notch product in return. I often rely on the reviews and opinions of others when contemplating purchasing a new product that I haven't tried before myself. Because of that, any products that I buy (whether on Amazon or from a 3rd party) I always make sure to leave a detailed review of the product to help others when selecting items to purchase, as well. My family tests these products fully before forming a solid opinion and writing a review. When I write a review, I keep in mind that those reading are also looking for honesty about the product and want an unbiased opinion to go by. If my review has been helpful to you, please give me a "Yes" vote on my review. Thank you!

Great stapler
Update: I purchased this stapler November 2014 and now its 2.5 years later and I'm very happy to report that this stapler still works like the day I got it. I change the batteries (4AA's) about twice a year but this thing is used quite a bit. I still wish it would hold more than half a sleeve of staples but hassle of refilling is worth it. I would definitely buy again.I've had this stapler for a little over a week and I still love it. It's fast and so easy to use. I would definitely buy this again.Warning: in the description of this stapler it tells you that the max number of pages is 25 when its really 20. It even states that right on the front of the thing AND the box. It also holds less than a sleeve of staples so if you staple a lot you'll be refilling this thing twice as much as you would a standard stapler.

BEST COMPLETE REVIEW... Read on...
Updating this review. I thought it had died, but now am still using this product for the last 2-3 years. For the price, this is an exceptional stapler (if under twenty-five bucks)Known frustrations:RED LIGHT STAYS ON.Fix: I've had this for 3 years. The red light comes on randomly when staples are low. It will stay on even after you replace staples until you pop out one of the batteries and put it back in (after replenishing the staples). That's the fix.20 SHEETS (FALSE):All staplers all advertise about 20-25% more sheets than they really do (FYI). I use a lot of these brands. They base their sheet rating on thinner paper and when the device is at full power (in this case, new batteries). It actually does about 12 easily, 14 with occasional issues. I often print 10-14 page exams for 70 students at a time.DOESN't TAKE A FULL STRIP:Some of the new brands allow full strips, I just don't know their longevity. Still, the ones that do are more pricey...PROS:1) It rarely jams. It's easy to lug around. I had to write my name all over it in silver so the other instructors wouldn't keep it at their desk (It gets borrowed-out a lot).2) Easy loading, though it only takes about 3/4 of a full staple strip (standard staples). Kinda of a con on the 2nd part.3) It's very stable. Doesn't get knocked over when moving fast.RECOMMENDATIONS:There is no power-cord option, so... GET RECHARGEABLE batteries (AA). Get some good ones with 2500+ ohm. I just recharge after I staple 200-300 times. I never have delays.Remember the red-light fix or it will drain your batteries in a day.Hope this helps....USE GOOD AA RECHARGEABLES for this if it is your personal stapler.

Great automatic stapler
Best automatic stapler! Staples very neatly and doesn’t make too much of a loud noise when stapling. My only complaint is that it does take a lot of batteries (6 AA batteries).

All was good, until it died 3 months later.
We bought this to replace a EcoElectronix electric stapler that pooted out after 1.5 years of heavy office use. We gave this Swingline one a shot due to brand recognition, full strip capacity, and comparable pricing (EcoElectronix was $60 at the time). The stapler, in the first two months, worked well: was quiet, no issues with reloading staple strips, and good paper sensor to trigger the stapler; however, by the third month, issues started to appear such as: stuck staples in cartridge, difficulty reloading, and over-sensitive sensor triggering multiple staples to be stapled making the papers difficult to remove to stop the stapling. Finally, this unit sounded like it had a dead/dying motor by the end of the third month. We bought this unit at the end of January 2024 and are now having to replace it at the end of April 2024. Buy at your own risk!EDIT: We added 6 AA batteries AND plugged in the unit, and it seems to be working- but it's only been a day, haha. Fingers crossed- but still not impressed by the longevity of this stapler.
