This a great lamp. I bought it so that would be able to use if electricity went out.This has happened already three times and light is great.Now the batteries life is another issue but not fault of lamp.

I got these to use as flashlights in a car emergency, but also to take when we go camping. The lumens sounded a bit low, so I was worried it wouldn't be bright enough to see by, but I had nothing to fear.The flashlight mode is just okay. It's got a decent beam, but not a lot of range. You're actually better off sticking to the lantern mode. It has almost the same range as the beam, but with 360 degrees of coverage.The lantern is almost blinding inside a light-colored tent. The one I have has a main space of 6x10 ft and I only have to barely pull the lantern out far enough to turn it on in order to light the whole space. I have to squint my eyes a bit when it's fully on.I took it out and plonked it on the side of my car to test out the magnets and I'm convinced it's original purpose was to let you see while changing a tire at night. It just happens to work really well for camping too.

These lanterns are awesome! The light is very bright on both the flashlight and lantern feature and the hooks for grasping/hanging are perfect. I bought a two pack after a town wide black out to ensure I’m never left in the dark again. These would also be great for camping. But my biggest endorsement, is of the company itself. After a year the flashlight feature stopped working on one of my lanterns and I contacted VONT on their website. I was able to live chat with an associate who needed only my proof of purchase (a screenshot of my Amazon order number) and sent me out a replacement no questions asked. It turns out, they will replace any item for any reason within two years of purchase. If you fill out the warranty form on their website within three days of receiving your lanterns you will get that treatment for your lifetime! They will replace the product at any point in your lifetime! How many companies do that?!

LOVE these flashlight-lanterns. The fan in my bathroom is connected to the overhead light and is extremely loud, so I stuck the lantern onto the side of the medicine cabinet using the magnets and use that as a light source more than half the time now. I've used it for a few months and can attest that high humidity doesn't ruin it either.The magnets are even strong enough to stay stuck as I pull on the top to open the lantern. I keep the other one magnetized next to my breaker box for power outages. Fantastic!

I was concerned about the quality but read some other favorable reviews and figured I’d give it a try.So happy I did. The light is bright, it’s easy to use and I was surprised at how strong the magnets were! Gave one to my son who is off at college and kept one at the house.I haven’t had it or used it enough to give a good assessment of battery life but seems good so far.

To0o old to go camping, I use these lanterns for safety and convenience.I live Calif. and the power goes out a lot I have lantern a in each bedroom, living room, family, den and kitchen, believe me they come in handy. They give out plenty of light so you can find your way around the house in the dark. I buy these for gifts and every one is so impressed with this handy little lantern. This company even includes batteries. Imagine that! I highly recommend these lanterns, if you decide to purchase these handy lanterns with handles to make it is easier to carry you won't be sorry.

These lanterns appear to be nicely done. I was impressed w/the longer light throw, and the flashing red lights. I sent these to my niece for her new house and I know she will find them quite handy ....especially for walks in the woods with her dog !! Great for the car too !!

I’m a 56 year old grumpy old man who hates cheapo products. I must say this one surprised me and is an excellent product. The photos in Amazon’s product description don’t do it service. It has 2 closed hangers on one end, and a pair of open hangers on the other end so you can hook it on for example a small branch or line, and a side hanger so that you could have the flashlight projecting in a direction. +2 magnets on one end. That’s the best design for hanging and mounting I’ve seen. The slide mechanism to open and get the main light turned on works very well smooth sliding. I’m impressed.

I purchased this product to be used for power outages. It seems to be well made and I am sure I will be pleased with its performance.
