great to increase security or fix a door hinge permanently
At first I thought these where pricy and held off on getting them until I could go to a "home improvement" store where I found the prices where actually higher. The quality seems great - you can't bend them by hand, and I didn't have any issues with the drive wanting to strip even though I was using a cheap drill. The 1 1/2" drywall screws used to hang my closet door where just falling out of the wall and these where a drop in replacement. The door feels extremely sturdy and I don't expect the screws to be falling out anytime soon.

OUTSTANDING Seller (& solid product to boot)
The product is the product, perfect for its intended use. Good screws, right design and length. Zero issues with stripping the heads (even with my suboptimal technique). I had a really hard time finding anything quite right locally, so I am really happy I came across these. As a single woman living alone, I wanted to step up my home security a bit, and replacing wimpy 1-1.5" screws with these bad boys absolutely does the trick to secure the door into the structure of the house (as opposed to just the door frame). I replaced all of the hinge screws, plus the screws on the latch strikeplate, with these long screws. Feeling pretty confident; very low probability of anyone getting in with a hard bump or a well-placed shoulder/kick routine (they're going to have to cut the door itself). The seller is absolutely wonderful. I stupidly ordered multiple packs of these, one at a time, and there was a screw up with USPS' delivery of one of the packs. I contacted the seller and they immediately re-shipped the missing pack, even though the fault was not theirs. Will absolutely look to Hinge Outlet again when similar needs arise. Buy with confidence; you won't be disappointed.
