LG 27UK850-W 27" 4K UHD IPS Monitor with HDR10 with USB Type-C Connectivity and FreeSync, White

I originally bought this for school at the end of 2020. The display has been fantastic so far. I use it with my macbook pro using thunderbolt 3. That allows me to charge the computer while sending video which i love. The picture is great and the colours are good. It has a passthrough for 2 USB ports and also a 3.5mm audio jack which is really practical, letting you adjust the volume directly from the monitor. The stand lets you raise the display really high off your desk and you can even change the orientation to portrait.Although it is on the expensive side, it has been worth every penny so far!

Es mi primer monitor externo que compro, para Mac sirve perfecto ya que tengo la Pro del 2017 y con un solo puerto USB-C puedo cargarla y ver la imagen sin la necesidad de tantos cables,La imagen es excepcional y no he tenido ningún problemaLo uso para:*Progamar*Editar video en Final Cut Pro*Tareas básicas de correos, etc.Pros:-Si desconectas la Mac o no detecta imagen entra como a un modo reposo donde al conectarla de nuevo se prende en automático-USB-C con 2xUSB3 (la velocidad es mala)Contras:Realmente no le veo nada malo, solamente:-La velocidad del hub que trae es muy baja, por lo que se usaría para cosas de periféricos-El brillo más bajo a mi parecer es un poco alto (esto ya es criterio propio y creo que debo cambiar la iluminación de mi habitación)-****NO PUEDES CONTROLAR EL BRILLO/SONIDO DESDE LA MAC****** todo es a través de su botón inferior, no es molesto pero se podría controlar desde una app.-El sonido es muy malo, parecen bocinas de baja calidad, se soporta pero es molesto que no tenga nada de bajos.

After 4 months of its usage its still great.. didn't find any flaw..... value for money.. awesome picture quality..Awesome display, game I haven't tested yet since my laptop is old and not for gaming, but picture quality is awesome...I absolutely love it. Its addition on my workstation has added extra charm, productivity has increased. Insane amount of screen real estate. Resolution 4K!!! 99.4% sRGB color accuracy. As a photographer and photo editor and digital painter its a gem for me. Speakers are okay type, although I use my alexa ecgo dot 3rd gen as speaker. Factory calibration is great, but it also has option to calibrate with software and any calibration device. You won't need to calibrate now. Viewing angle is great 178, smart energy saving goes into sleep mode automatically without having to do press anything. In fact apart from a tiny joystick button, there is no button, such a beauty!!! I wish it were true 10 bit though, but its okay with its price and you wont notice much of a difference unless you are a real pro.. Its like a universal monitor, serves a content writer, programmer, photo and video editor, gamer.. Didn't notice much of a backlight bleed honestly as some other mentions in the reviews, type c cable is a cherry on the icecream. Trust me like a tv its very bright, so u can adjust the brightness to low for best viewing experience. Just go for it

So glad I got this. I avidly read reviews on multiple monitors that had a USB-C outlet, and I liked the idea of 4K resolution with a 27" screen. I always used to rely on in person evaluation, back in the day when you could go to a Best Buy and look at all the different choices and judge for yourself the quality of color and image reproduction, but the year of Covid and basically general downsizing of tech stores made that impossible so I had to rely on reading about the qualities of my future purchase.I will attempt to briefly convey what I like about this device. No problems at all with shipping and packaging, and very easy to set up. Pretty much plug and play. I'm happy with the usb-C outlet that simultaneously charges my laptop--this frees up another power outlet for my home office set up. Also use the other usb outlets for charging, no downloading or web cam hook up so no complaints with any speed issues there. I don't have an elaborate set up where I would have any knowledge of testing the speed of the outlets, I saw that commented on other reviews so I'll leave you to their expert feedback on this. I'm very happy with the clarity of the picture, very good color reproduction next to my MBP 2018 so can't complain. I'm not a gamer so those type of issues wouldn't apply to my experience. I also am not tech savvy enough to comment on any "bleeding" or faulty pixels, but am very happy with the result when I stream movies. Purchased some additional speakers because I wasn't happy with the sound quality coming from this screen, and did not like that it did not respond to my keyboard controls either. Nice stable base, would hate if it wobbled as I type like some other devices per their reviews. Tilting and telescope options work well for my use; I did see another model that went from turned horizontal to vertical and that almost swayed me, but glad I saved the money as I really wouldn't need that feature anyway. Have used this now for ten months so no problems and no regrets choosing this model.

A pricey monitor, but the usb type c functionality is a blessing. The monitor comes along with all cords, which are of excellent quality. i primarily use it as a usb c hub for generic office use. the type c delivers a charge of 60W. most 65w laptops will show that the charge is insufficient but still get charged although a bit slowly. the stand is rock solid and feels premium. the inbuilt speakers are not that good but do get loud. the displaybis sharp and the screen has a matte non glossy look which doesnt look great but is easy on the eyes if you use the monitor for long duration. i thought it was better to get this then buy a std monitor and then add a usb c dock.
