How to Teach Grammar

This was one of the first books I had to read for my master's in teaching English. All of the examples were gold and I continued to use them throughout my entire program. It is concise, yet thoroughly examined different teaching styles and techniques.

Perfect reference for grammar.

I have not finished reading this, GOT IT as a reference so will keep it hopefully forever. What I HAVE read seems to be written in easy to understand verbage

There are example lessons throughout the book, which are helpful for a novice.

If you are doing a CELTA or a TEFL course, you need this book! Alongside with it you need Teaching Tenses. Lots of good tips how to explain grammar!

I bought this book for my DELTA pre-course reading list. The first 5 chapters introduce you to the vast array of technical vocab we are supposed to learn for Module 1.I browsed through the remaining chapters and I found them of little use / interest to me because I have already implemented several of the techniques outlined and I have a tendency to stick with my favourite approaches that have worked well in the past. It is good to have, though, as a reference source for the experimental practice assignment in Module 2 of the DELTA.
