Sturdy and Works Great
Easy to install and feels strong and secure. The kayak rack fits well on my roof cross bars and holds everything firmly in place. Good quality for the price and I’m very happy with it.

Amazing cost effective option
Definitely was not expecting this quality. Will be able to use many times! Install is easy, take your time. Super rigid construction, took heavy yaks up some pretty bad Colorado trails.

Great Fit and Easy to Use for Kayak Transport—Just Don’t Leave Them on in the Rain
Summary: Overall, I’m happy with these. They were easy to install, fit my vehicle well, and feel sturdy in use. The only real downside is that they started to rust after being left exposed to the weather for a couple months. How I used it: Mounted on a 2015 Toyota Highlander and used for transporting a kayak. Pros: Easy installation with no issues Fit the Highlander well Sturdy and secure during use Held up fine under load with no loosening Cons: Will start to rust if left exposed to rain and weather Not ideal for permanent installation What I wish I knew: These worked great functionally, but they don’t hold up well to being left on the vehicle full-time. After about two months of occasional rain exposure, I started noticing rust. If I had known that upfront, I would’ve treated them as more of a temporary install instead of leaving them on. Verdict: A solid and reliable option for transporting a kayak. They’re easy to install, fit well, and feel secure when in use. Just be mindful of the rust—if you take them off when not in use or keep them out of the weather, they’re a strong buy.

Best J-Bars around!!
This is the best choice for a well constructed, high quality set of J-Bars. I was so impressed at how much went into this product, and how easy it was to put together. I highly recommend these!!

Missing parts/ difficult assembly
Product is a pain to put together. The bolt holes in the plates weren't lined up, this made it impossible to get the bolts through. I had to grind down the bolt holes to get the bolts through. Also, there were two missing Anti-loosing nuts- clearly essential to keep the parts together. Now I have to spend more money and time trying to find two nuts that fit. What a mess. 10/10 would not recommend. I learned the hard way, You get what you pay for, don't be cheap get the more expensive product.

Some handy work needed **updated**
***UPDATE*** After I modified the pre-drilled holes, I assembled the racks and attempted to test fit on my HF Haulmaster ladder rack. The mounting bolts were not long enough to mount the bracket to the ladder rack rails. I couldn't find a metric bolt with the same pitch that was long enough, so I bought a package of 5/16in-18 x 4 inch carriage bolts, 5/16in vinyl insert hex head locking nuts and 5/16in rubber end caps. (I could have gone with a 3 inch bolt, but I practice the mantra better to be too long than too short.) I was able to mount the racks and they feel solid. I test fit one kayak then measured 21 inches from the end of the rail to mark where I was going to mount the inside kayak rack. That worked out fine. After I installed the rubber end caps onto the end of the bolt, I noticed that the caps tended to slip off easily. Knowing that road travel will end up having these shake loose, I used HF heat shrink tubing on the ends and after shrinking the tubing to the bolt, the end cap fit snuggly. All in all, even after the modifications (which weren't that hard to do), these racks seem solid. If all goes well on my trip, I'll move the product rating up one star (to a 4 star rating). I bought two sets of these to haul four kayaks. Most of them were easy to put together, but two had holes that didn't line up exactly. I ended up using my round file to elongate the hole. After multiple test fits, I finally was able to get the last two assembled. I haven't installed them on my ladder rack, but I don't see any reason that they shouldn't work as advertised. I gave three stars for the quality control.

Sturdy Kayak racks
After reading mixed reviews, I figured I would take a chance and buy these. I have a relatively heavy fishing kayak, and a lighter cheaper kayak and both fit on these rscks with no issues. It says these do not work with round bars, but I have removable ladder racks that come on and off my truck with round bars and just put some rubber down and tightened up the bolts and they were fine. I left the kayaks on these racks for about a week and drove about 400 miles with them up there and they didnt budge at all! They were secure on dirt camp roads and at highway speeds. The straps didnt slide at all. The install was easy. They supply a tiny little wrench but I just used a real wrench and took about a half hour to put them together and install them. Over all, very sturdy racks! Im pleased with how they have worked so far and would recommend them!

You need this!!
Worked great for my two pelican kayaks !! (Not recommended) held on great at 80+ mph on highway. These things are solid! We used an additional strap on the way home for peace of mind but the strap that came with it worked great in the way down too! We had a 3 hour drive this time! I have a jeep compass and roof rack already that we attached to that. WOULD BUY AGAIN!!

Missing Part, had to return and will have to reorder
Inconvenient to receive a good which you have to put together, only to find it is missing a part. It has delay the use for which it was being purchased for.
