Beautiful but lacking features - 320 Dusty Pink
Please note this is a review of the 320 version. The styling, I love - and I wanted it to deliver a matching sound, but sadly it is terribly lacking at this ‘premium’ price point. The packaging is very nice and feels like it is going to be something special, but the 320 version (and I’m assuming the 310) is wrapped in a sleeve which points out all the things the speaker you've just paid handsomely for cannot do, but the top of the range 330 can; such as industry standard regular USB for charging (a power brick is supplied) or a useful Stereo Pairing option, or any sort of EQ tweaking - Being reminded of the lack of features before you’ve even turned it on is a strange thing to do to a buyer. If you can afford the 330 maybe it sounds great, especially in a stereo pair, but the 320 doesn’t go beyond average with no way of altering the sound onboard or pairing in stereo. Sonically It’s on par with the old KS Hive I’ve had for years and left way behind by a modern competitor such as the Marshall Embelton. Audiobooks and podcasts sound good, it pairs quickly and has a decent range, but the music seems to get muddled all too easily. It is a looker, the shades are gorgeous with a beautiful vintage look, sadly the feature set seems vintage in a 'not-so-good way' in the two 'lesser' models.

Useful Extension to My Smart Phone
I listen to a lot of sounds on my iPhone, both catch-up radio programmes and audiobooks. By connecting my phone to the Roberts by Bluetooth, I get a better listening experience. Some Roberts products have too much base but the balance with this one seems just about right. A sonorous, rich tone superior to the iPhone, which can be a bit tinny, and of course you can turn the volume higher. The Roberts can be moved from room to room easily. Battery life seems OK. Glad I bought it, but it was rather pricey.

Simply connect and play.
I like Roberts, they have solid feel and look fantastic. The sound quality has always been good for me. I'm no audiophile, I realise it's a mono speaker. All I want is for it to connect to my phone easily and play the music I love. The Roberts Beacon does exactly that and with some style.

Size doesn't matter!
Having read some reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about the possible lack of bass but I needn't have worried.Considering the size of the speaker, the overall quality of the sound is excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this speaker.Great value, well made and packaging is excellent too!

Great speaker
As always the quality of Roberts products shines through. Bluetooth set up was a doddle even for a technophobe such as me. I use the speaker mainly for listening to audio books stored on phone and the depth of sound is wonderful. I have not had the speaker long enough to comment on battery life.

A great addition!
Having purchased this speaker in the sale, I am really pleased with the quality.I loved the box, presentation, and ease of set up and use. Easy to pair, and the sound is excellent.I have this by my bedside and it fits nicely with the decor, I love the fabric design, and clean lines. When fully charged, all three lights turn off, and this can either be used independently or with a charger. I keep mine plugged in as it won’t be moving!Overall, an excellent buy for a beautiful speaker.Get it on sale if you can :-)
