I built model car for a hobby. I read so many way too make your car look rusted. They different kind of way to go about it in you-tube. They have a crazy one you use steel wool and place it inside a jar with White Vinegar and Clorox. It's very dangerous mixing those chemical and if you got kid you must be 100 % careful they dont get at it.. With these TAMIYA Weathering Master you can do a professional job and dont need to worry about chemicals. IT DOES IT JOB AND MORE. If you're into model car this is a must have set.. so please stop trying those crazy way they show you in you- tube.. This is so cool. you get 6 case and 3 in each so you can weather your car anyway you want.. I DIDN'T WASTED MY TIME WRITING THIS EVEN DO I'M HANDICAP WITH 1 HAND. but I wanted to put Model builder there mind at ease GET THIS YOU WONT REGRET IT...IT WORTH EVERY PENNIES

Just tested yesterday finally and it works really great and saves myself some time.

I have used these for years for detailing.... FYI,,, put them in small zip lock bags after use,,,, they tend to dry up after time.

The Weathering Paint (whether you could call it that) is in excellent packaging once arrived, and even then, each Hard Case was in perfect condition despite long travel. Now onto usage, Each Case comes in sets of 3 to any themed effect that can be applied to any model so long as you heavily apply the brush to said model. It takes a while for it to be noticeable under scrutiny of a Lamp light, but eventually, you will get your desired effect of having a Gunpla (or Military/Aviation vehicles) look like its been through the ringer. It also must be said that although using the little detailing brush it comes is quite the hassle in applying the material throughout the model, it's best for lightly saving as much material in each pallet as possible and thats enough of a good reason to me. I would recommend this weathering set for the more avid model enthusiast. 4.5 for me.

Tamiyas weathering kits are extremely easy to use, unlike paint or weathering fluid these are powdered so these can catch every edge easily without having to wait for dry times, the only con with these is that you HAVE to topcoat your weathering otherwise it WILL come off when handling your model kit

Very high quality as usual from Tamiya. I started with real cosmetic eyeshadows and this thing beats them all. I highly recommend.

A great set of hues and easy to apply to deliver great results. I've only just started to use them, but I can see they should last a long time. Something I have yet to establish is what happens if one then wishes to apply paint on top. These seem wax-based, and I suspect that acrylics might not be comfortable with that... we shall see. All in all, great to have in the palette, and looking at the many online tutorial videos, I think they should be pretty easy to gain some expertise in using. Good value.
