what are the exact height increments that these can be set at?

the holes are roughly 5 inches apart I have mine set at a height of 28.5 for krk 8 speakers and 33.5 for krk 5 speakers i love then and i have the cauralex foam pads on them

These stands support 8” monitors speakers of the same brand?

I have(2) krk 8 in and (2) krk 5 and no issues..they are really sturdy on carpet I have them pretty well balanced.. they are very sturdy!

Would these work good without wobble or shaking with a moving head light sitting on base?

I have no idea about the moving headlight. But I can tell you they don't shake, move or wobble with speakers sitting on top without securing the speaker. The base is solid.

How does the adjustment knob work? I tried tightening the knob but the screw is too short to actually do anything even using pliers to hold the nut

If you are talking about the metal spikes that go into the carpet you would adjust them out about three quarters of an inch and tighten the nut counterclockwise it works fine for me. Be sure to step on the pedestal with your foot to penetrate the carpet and make contact with the floor. Tim
