CoirPlus Coco Grow Mat 8' x 4' x 1/4" [OMRI Listed]

It's as described - and works well growing microgreens. However, cutting these large sheets to size is a pain - they quickly blunt a good pair of scissors which is not the best to cut for 1020 trays. Tried with a large guillotine - it's better but far from adequate! But all round, better than handling earth in my basement.

Man,,, potential here is incredible.. but unfortunately, for bigger crops, larger taproots don’t fit down through the tight weave of the medium. Worked wonders for small seeds like broccoli and radish, even the peas as the root is kinda sharp and stiff, but if you’re doing black oil sunflower expect to waste 60% of your seed. The tap root is simply too big to find a way to settle into the medium so loosely half germinates/sprouts but doesn’t go much further than a little green tap rolling around in a tray.

My order arrived sooner than expected. The product measured 48 1/8” wide x 96 1/8” long and 1/4 inch thick uniformly. The coir mat had a natural faint pleasant smell of coconut fiber and cut easily with a utility knife as well as scissors. It was flexible and held its shape well without fraying or crumbling once cut (See photos). I am very pleased with the quality of this product for use in my grow operations and will surely be choosing it again when it is time to reorder.

Great product and great price. Fast shipping. I bought this to plant some live plants in my tank. I purchased it first before asking if it was safe for aqaurium use. There was a phone number on the product so i called and it was immediatley answered. The guy answered my question and was very nice. I have since used it to plant my live aquatic plants. Its holding nicely and the plants are gowing quickly. I would buy again but i got enough to last along time with this one order.

We did not like these mats for growing Microgreens. There is an odor and petroleum like film. We will use them for plants in the years, but not growing microgreens.

High hopes for this mat for growing wheatgrass. Very susceptible to mold with this material. We went back to hemp mats which seem to wick the moisture much better.

Did not realize it is held together with latex. Really smelly. Wirks for growing microgreens, but stinky!!

Great product. Sry for the ones that received bad pieces , mine was uniform throughout, the only question I have is the fact there is a almost rubber smell to it? Nylon ? ? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
