Well, the bag is as described, a long plastic bag with 'vents' to let air in. What you might want to know is that the vents are merely holes punched at regular intervals along the length of the bags. Imagine a hole punch that left two tiny pieces keeping the 'chad' (if you will) from falling out of said hole. While it might be possible in a perfect world and with extremely careful handling that none of the vent holes would truly open up, thus making easy access for pests, this is real life and some of those vents will open up enough to let in insects. So I'm going to do what another person mentioned and tape over the holes in order to make sure no bugs get into the rug. I've also added sachets full of cedar chips and lavender to help repel insects.Overall, I'm glad I got these bags, I just wish someone would make a rug bag that doesn't have these supposedly helpful 'vents.'

Great rug bag. Easy to slip in rug. Sturdy enough not to rip with reasonable handling. I already took it off one rolled rug and put it on a second and it held up well. Easy to fold down excess plastic if rug is smaller than bag.

I didn't expect these to have vent holes. I had to tape over them to keep a woolen rug safe from insects. Otherwise great.
