AEROPRO TOOLS 1/2-Inch Aluminum Air Impact Wrench(A398)

The Areopro A398 Impact aluminum body is a very well engineered tool. I have been an electrical contractor for over 40 years and proud to say I purchased this item. For starters it budget friendly. It weighs 5.25 lbs, with discharge port at the end of handle to keep debris from your face. It requires 5.25 cfm at 90 lbs. my Makita MAC 5200, air compressor, 3HP max and 2.5 hp while running, with 3 gallon tank, pressure max 140 lbs is sufficient and rated for 5.5cfm.. It has one lever in the rear of impact to control, all the way left is reverse with 1380 ft lbs to remove and the lever to the right has 3 position for different speed with torque of 810 ft lbs. The con, is it didn’t come with a case, I assume to keep the cost downbut it had resting spot in my lockable tool cabinet right next to my snap on combination wrench set. I’m a believer Areopro is a solid functional tool company. I would recommend this item to everyone.

This gun is fantastic for the price. I work in a professional setting , and buy cheap tools to test out so new techs and those entering the industry know what is and isn't worth the money. I have over $50,000 in tools from snap-on, MAC, Conwell, and Matco that i use and abuse, but have found a few gems on Amazon. This is definitely one of them. It takes a sec for the gun to fully break in, and yhe anvil sticks the first few uses, but after that, it is a must have. I reach for this gun over my Snap-on half of the time, because its lighter. I read that it doesn't have the power, that is just not true. It is a hungry gun, so a larger compressor is a must, but im tightening bolts to well over 200 ft/lbs with this gun, and have yet to find a lug nut it will not remove. We have used it on box trucks, F550s, and even to remove axle bolts out VW cars. This gun doesn't just hit hard, it hits with authority. I've had it for almost a month now, so we will see how we'll it holds up, but for less than $100, I will buy another one when this one gives up.

Not a bad gun. My older Craftsman blew an trigger o-ring while in the middle of pulling a transmission and went completely nuts. I didn't want to take the time to fix that also. The gun worked well with cross member and frame parts to get those stubborn nuts loose. Size and torque made it pretty easy.

The Power, it's there. I replaced my old Craftsman with this unit and WOW! The feel of the grip is nice. The design it standard and well built for durability. Easy to use on any project worth applying to. The torque is bar-none powerful! The easy-locking drive makes versatility number one.

Works great

I bought this after graduating votech thinking it’s a cheap ratchet and if it dies I’ll just buy one then. Well this thing hasn’t died yet and I’ve went from tire guy, to B level technician and have used this at every job in between. I was nice to it breaking it in however suffered abuse pretty quickly there after. I did an F350 brake job with it today. Not much it can’t handle in terms of power. I’m pretty impressed. It’s not as heavy as snap on, the directional dial is nice and easier to use than harbor freights earthquake XT. The only ratchet I’ve found that I like more is the Matco trex but at a micro fraction of the price I’d buy this one again.

Well made product. Works exactly as stated. Regarding the poor reviews, I'd wager this; that some of those people don't know how to operate an air tool.
