Important for balance!
My doctor recommended Tai Chi since I've called 3 times in the past year. She said it's a great way to improve balance. I'm anxious to try the moves and see how they strengthen my legs and body.

Great Beginner Entry
I've been following Lam Kam-Chuen's guidance for the past 4 years or so, starting with his book The Way of Energy. I've benefited much from his teachings and the quality of that work. This is less detailed and re-iterates some of the practices/fundamentals from The Way of Energy, but adds in very clear, simple directions for tai chi and chi kung practices, breathing techniques, all with good photographs and descriptions. Definitely no replacement for a real life teacher, but a great place to start if you've been wanting to learn and have the nuts and bolts to start.

A great way to learn Tai Chi!
I actually thought I ordered a DVD, but I'm glad I didn't! This book is great at describing the basics of Tai Chi! It also gives a plan to develop a routine. I highly recommend this book. This author is an amazing teacher!

Good starter
I have been practicing Tai Chi for a long time. I thought that this might be a good refresher. I was not disappointed. A great book for the beginner. Many good warm-up exercises which are used in giqong. Worth a look.

Tai Chi for older people
This is one of the best books on Tai Chi I've seen for beginners or older people. The instructions are clear and the exercises are beneficial, but not too demanding.I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to learn tai chi.
