Nice Figure
I collect some Transformers for the looks now, my oldest child having gotten too old to play with them. When I saw this figure, I recognized him from the comic books that featured him. At the price point of $20, which is pretty much my upper limit, I decided to get him.The most important thing for me is the ability to pose. I've had him in a pose on my desk for a week now and he's holding tough. The joints seem firm and there's a good range in his limbs. I haven't transformed him yet and don't really care to, so check other reviews for how well that works. All in all, a good, solid figure, and one I would recommend.

Axeing This Not Recommended
Legacy G2 Universe JhiaxusAfter the total dud that was my defective G1 Triple-Changer Sandstorm, I opted to get something I deemed less-risky, that I wanted for quite a while, and also allowed me to “preview” the forthcoming-at-time-of-review Rusted Vector Prime. Thus, Jhiaxus enters my life.= Robot Mode =Yay:+ They look like a displeased boulder that became primally-offended at the mere thought of more paperwork, allowing them to be put in all sorts of funny poses/situations on-shelf. No Jhiaxus-es were harmed, physically, or mentally while writing this review.+ They are rather tall for a voyager, being ever-so-slightly shorter than Star-Raider Thundertron.+ While I'm not as bothered by gaps as others may be, they have exactly 0 in this mode. Every single part is both absolutely-solid, and completely filled in. No hollow joints, waffly parts, or massive gaps.+ I'd describe the feel of them as “solid”.+ I like the little wings on their legs, but if you don't, they can be folded in.+ Their colour-scheme was also enjoyed deeply.+ In spite of having sat on a warehouse shelf for 4 years before I got it, no yellowing occurred anywhere on this mode.+ Thy possess a rather large range of articulation, allowing for all sorts of poses.+ So extensive is this, their fingers can also open and close.+ The right-of-head thinger, whatever it may be, amuses me as much as their facial expression.+ I didn't need to fight to get either gun in either hand.Meh:~ I wish they had more green on their robot mode, as that would have broken things up a bit.~ No place to store the mini-blaster. The main one can 5-Millimetre-port onto the backpack, but doing so utilises the one space (red gun's side peg) that it could be put on, and all other locations look a bit silly to me.Nay:- Nothing!= Accessories =With your scowling, Space-Tyrant Boulder Lord, you get a nice, chunky, thick red blaster...and a slightly-thicker-than-paper transparent black blaster. If you've not gathered from that, the second one feels incredibly-flimsy, and absolutely makes me wonder if they could have allocated the budget to something else. That being typed, as it's the same plastic the jet mode's canopy is casted in, they seem to have made it to not waste most of the sprue. As this was Legacy, you absolutely can Evo-Fusion (Even if not advertised on-box) the two blasters together.= Transformation =Robot to Jet/Spaceship:Some alignment needs to be done, yes, however, you absolutely can securely-click everything into place, making for a conversion I deemed very-satisfying, and rather enjoyable. I rather loved how both positions on the tail-fin have tabs and slots, as well as how it sort-of Cyclonus'd by requiring you to fold both the front, and back of the chest out. This is to type, even things that don't need tabs and slots get them. As well, the main wings both plug into ports on the legs, and the fold-outy bits have detents (providing several solid clicks) which was both surprising, plus satisfying.Unfortunately, this revealed some rather-gnarly yellow splotching on one of the fist platforms' other side. Interestingly, this part was in the inside of the arm since my copy was boxed, so this cannot be photo-degradation.Fortunately, as it's on an air-intake part it looks as though it's taking dirty air in, and is almost-completely-invisible in both modes. The only other part that discoloured is one side of the backpack-to-body hinge.Either way, none of this would bother me, even if the location it was in happened to be more visually-obvious.Jet/Spaceship to Robot:Almost-effortless. I only needed to employ the services of a guitar pick to get the hands out, but once I learned how to get the one out, the other was completely-trivial to unleash.= Jet/Spaceship Mode =Yay:+ You can configure the wings in a surprisingly-large amount of ways. In my interaction, I confirmed you can leave them in robot-orientation, and flip the mini ones in the back out for a sort of “Sukhoi Su-47 Berkut with canards in an atypical place” look. One can also fold those in for another, leave them flipped out, but follow the official transformation to have a sort of Bi-Plane, look, or flip them in for the official transformation.+ Very unique-looking to me. Nothing else in my collection has ever looked this visually-distinct, save for maybe Star Raider Ferak.+ Very fun-to-me to hold in this mode, too.+ All colours on the robot mode are represented quite well on this mode, too.+ Since it rests on the folded-beneath arms, no paint is present to scratch, even without landing gear, and it has a solid foundation.+ I love how you can see the robot head peeking out from the canopy. I would type “I wish they found a way to angle it up, a-la Revenge of the Fallen Breakaway/Firestorm”, but the “straight-upward” orientation makes it seem like they're displeased because they can't see forward when flying.+ Thanks to everything solidly tabbing in, this thing also feels incredibly-solid, as though it was one cohesive chonk™ of plastic.+ Transforming it to this mode, for reasons still completely unknown to me, was a touch nostalgic. This may be an example of “Nova-stalgia”, though, a term I coined to flag things that felt nostalgic, but were brand-new to me.+ They look much more “G2” in this mode to me.Meh:~ Storage woes on the accessories. The main gun does, indeed become the jet mode's armament, mounting beneath the nose, but unfortunately, the mini/afterthought Blaster does not slot into most places cleanly, me only having found “handle rammed into the other side” as a solid place to put it.One can put it on the side of the main gun, however, I did not favour the look of that, and it being as bendy as it made me fear I'd permanently-warp it while pressing it in.Nay:- Nothing!= Verdict =Though my copy may not have been able to escape the yellowing issue that plagued this figure, it did not drag my enjoyment down, especially once the same moods I'd get from a late '00s to early '10s LEGO kit sunk in, and fact I paid that-era Voyager price for them. What did, strangely, was the second blaster, which, while liked as an item, did not implement well-enough for this to be a Fantastically-Favoured (for those familiar with my Steam game rankings)/5-star figure for me.Either way, with my love of this mould confirmed, and both Key + Sword blapping into their own, dedicated spaces, I am absolutely going to be buying Age of the Primes Vector when they release.

Great TF but Sadly Lesser Known!
This is a great, well-made figure. No waffle holes on arms or legs, opening hands on a Voyager-class figure (which is rare), nicely detailed weapons and colors on figure are awesome. Posable like few others and transforms into a space-jet that is very much like the one in the comic version. This figure is a winner!

A long time coming for 90s kids
Probably the best voyager figure released this year. No hallow limb panels and the hands are articulated. Interesting, but easy transformation. Cool looking 90s comic style weapons. The design looks like it jumped out of the generation 2 Marvel comics run. Added bonus: he scales great with the 1995 g2 laser Optimus and just a chonky as the 90s toys.

Champion!

Hasbro Cooked
Legacy Jhiaxus is such an awesome figure. I never would have guessed that they would go this hard on a a character that like me I assume the majority of TF fans have never heard of but after getting this guy and reading up on his character I think I can officially confirm that he is a BEAST. Even if you know nothing about him you owe it to yourself to grab this guy. He just has a presence that is unmatched. Or just grab the vector prime retool…
