I mean, they’re hair ties so you’d think there wouldn’t be a lot to say, but I have strong opinions. They are a good price, very strong, came very quickly, and do their job well. They tie hair back without slipping off because of the added rubber-wrap coating. Because of the added rubber, they a) smell funny (but just needs some airing out for a minute and then they’re fine); b) are harder to stretch, but if you just use a little more muscle, it works just as well as normal ones; and c) are ugly so my daughters won’t steal and lose them, but no one looks that closely at ponytails so it’s just an added bonus, honestly. I’d buy them again but it looks like I’ll be able to reuse them often without them disappearing so it’s almost a perfect product.

These are my favorite hair ties. I have it on subscription because I cannot find them anywhere else. I have thick hair and regular hair ties just do not cut it when I want to put my hair up. These because of the slide-proof grips stay in place all day long and are easy to come out when I pull them out, they do not get stuck in my hair when I pull them out. I use these so much and my daughter uses them too. They last a great while but they do like anything else break after rough usage, such as extreme pulling or if your cat wants to run off and play with it like a toy. I like to have extras in case so I do not run out.

As a busy nurse, I am constantly on my feet, running around, and dealing with high-stress situations. The absolute last thing I need to worry about during a 12-hour shift is my hair falling into my face or my hair tie snapping at the worst possible moment.I have tried countless brands, but nothing compares to the Goody Ouchless Hair Elastics. These are, hands down, my absolute favorite hair ties. Here is why they are a permanent fixture in my scrub pockets

These arrived as expected. Pictures depict product as received and what my old store bought version looks like compared to this. The date on reverse of product was copyrighted 2013 which could lead the rubber to be brittle and subject to breaking more easily. SIZE: These are I believe the thickest ones they make. Initially, for most people, they will go around your ponytail twice. After heavy use, I can get one around 3 times. These are not the long skinnier ones that will go around 3-4 times but and don't offer much support. These are heavy duty ones! HAIR TYPES: Goody claims this is product is for all hair types but not in my opinion. They are simply regular black hair elastics with rubber woven in. Of course that won't be comfortable if you have really thick hair, or really curly hair, or long hair that easily tangles. My hair is fine and straight and my ponytails are usually limp. If I have braid waves, it is a bit harder to remove these elastics. Unless you're playing sports or have slick hair where regular elastics usually just slide right out, you don't need a product like this and it may damage your hair. PRICE POINT: This is competitive although they can usually be found cheaper in person at popular stores. PROS: These don't come out even when I'm swimming or surfing, they do stretch out over time making 3 times around possible, come in colors to match your hair color, CONS: Not ideal for all hair types, can damage hair, take time to stretch out. TIP: If you have fine hair resulting in limp ponytails you can use a bobby pin or two to give yourself a more flattering high ponytail. Search for this beauty trick online.

Let’s talk about the good first. The rubber in these is supposed to prevent them from slipping out of my hair, and much to my amazement, it works! I have a ton of hair that several Inches past my bra strap. My hair is not only long just also incredibly thick as a whole and if it is wet, very heavy! Normal hair ties weren’t doing the trick, but these do! What could use some improvement (Just in case someone from the company reads this): 1. They are advertised for people with thick hair. If so, why are they essentially the same circumference as hair ties for people with regular hair? I like to wrap my hair ties around my ponytail 3 times to make it tight enough that I won’t have to redo repeatedly due to falling. I can easily wrap these around my hair 2 times with the tie being just too short to make it a third without a real stretching issue. Add another centimeter at least!! 2. Due to their size being regular and having to force them to stretch for thick hair, I can use these once, maybe twice before they break. I have had them break the first time I try to use them as well. This is not abnormal for me in regards to all hair ties…which is why hair ties advertised to people with thick hair should be slightly larger, as I stated in my first point. If they were bigger, this would be less of an issue. If your hair is normal in thickness, I would still recommend these for sporting events when repositioning your falling pony tail would be problematic. If your hair is very thick, these are great. When I’m exercising, I out my hair up with one, and then I take a second one and go over the whole messy-ish bun I have made with a second, and it will actually stay. Bottom line is that this product is almost exactly what I would like it to be, but has room for improvement. The only other hair ties that I have ever found that stand a chance of keeping my ponytails up are the coil types, but even those break all the time.

I have thick hair and lots of it! I can get these around all of my hair 3 times. They NEVER SLIP...even if I only pull it through twice. I rarely have had one break apart on me. You NEED these. Buy 2 packs and share them with your friends!

My partner likes to use these. She has long fine soft hair. Had to get regular ties to stay in her hair. These work for her.
