Habitrail OVO Mini Maze

I got this for my mouse who mainly uses it for a bed but loves it. It attaches to my Habitrail Cristal and has been a great addition before I got theHabitrail OVO Maze my mouse used to chew at the bars all night but now he's busy pulling toilet paper up to the maze. The maze appears to be built well although not much of a maze but there were special slots where I could stick little chew sticks into. I haven't had to clean it yet but it appears to be easy to do. It's also much larger than expected. But has no problem being supported by the tubes.

This attachment (the mini maze) immediately became the favorite bed/nest for my two mice. They love it — it is where they go when they want to sleep and/or nest. Great price! I would buy again & I highly recommend.

We bought this for our 2 male gerbils and attached it to our Crittertrail cage. We do not use the cardboard insert, as they like to use it as a sleeping den so far. I would hardly call it a "maze" if that is what you're looking for, but it is a cozy secure place for them to take a nap, and is big enough for 2 to pile in together! The Habitrail items seem more substantial than Crittertrail, with heavier duty plastic and tighter fitting connectors. Our gerbils do not seem interested in trying to escape, but I don't see how they could manage to get out of this. It snaps together securely, especially the blue and clear parts. We have found it is easier to access the inside from the green piece that lifts up and unsnaps. For the money, this is a really nice addition to any existing cage you might have. I would buy it again!

I like this but not sure if my hamster cares much for it. She has never chewed the cardboard insert, even after I tried wedging treats in the holes and rubbing yogurt treats on it to entice her. She very rarely goes in here, usually only when I'm trying to get her out of her main cage. It seems to be a great product, but there's not way to know whether or not your hamster will enjoy spending time in until you get it home. If you hammy really likes to explore, I say go for it. Great return policy...

Perfect like hideout , my robo loves it . I put trests in the cut out and he eats them out . He doesnt chew on the cardboard at all but loves to hide in it while he eats.

Good product but I couldn't use it. It didnt fit in the maze I have. With the price being what it is, it's not worth paying for return shipping so I had to trash it. Not anyones fault but mine though.Make sure it is the right size for your maze before you buy it

My hamster absolutely loves this. he has other stops in his tunnels to sit in but the shape of this was perfect for sleeping and storing food. He made this into his nest and actually completely lived in it for a while before I took it away because I wanted him to actually enjoy the habitat I had set up for him

Firstly, forget about the maze! Take it out and let your pet enjoy the extra space. I bought this to add to the habitat which my disabled wild mouse lives in. She needed more space to enjoy hiding and climbing. As soon as it was attached she moved her bedding into it and, nearly twelve months later, she still sleeps in her second storey bedroom. It is a perfect size for the woven grass nest balls and with some soft paper bedding it's a snug bed. Even though she has three legs, she can climb easily into it through the tube.Easy to clean, easy to assemble (with practice) but I agree with others that the upper piece could do with more ventilation holes as it can get steamed up.As an addition to the starter home, I recommend this as an inexpensive loft extension which your small animal will appreciate more than most toys.

At first item was great, but soon with usage it became full of condensation, without enough air holes my hamster came out the habitrail soaked each night. The moisture was more than any hamster house ive had, poor ventilation. I've had to just bin the whole thing as its not worth the contsant wiping out and irritation on my hamster, I would have drilled more holes in it but i think the plastic would shatter if i did. I'm thinking maybe best for a dwarf hamster, but definitely not Syrians that fill up their beds loads of bedding.

When I saw this advertised I thought that it would be a good addition to all my mouse / hamster cages which have Ferplast tubes and connections. When it arrived though, I found that it was incompatible with the system I already have. I tried a couple of pet shops to get cage couplers that would fit it, only to be told that OVO are no longer trading so I cannot use the unit so I've wasted my money on a useless (to me) piece of kit. There were no sizes given on the advert nor was it mentioned that this was old stock.Very Disappointed.

I though this would be great for my sons hamster, which it is apart from being able to attach it to the other pipes, because it doesn't unless you tape it, the the pip from the cage thing the pips aren't standard fitting to pipes so beware as fittings are crap! And I've had to tape it up pipes to my cage gutted really

It's a great extension of the dwarf hamster home, but be warned it states that it comes with three maze inserts, this is not the case, only one is provided. As the dwarf hamsters love chewing this and I have found replacements very difficult to source I would recommend making a template so you can create your own replacements before the first one is in tiny pieces throughout the dwarf hamster's home.
