Amazing flavor and taste
The flavor was amazing and a little goes a long way. Highly recommend if fresh durian isn’t easily accessible to you.

A little goes a long way ...
Thankfully the flavor is strong and just a bit goes a long way. Although I'm very excited to try this in some baking (perhaps some muffins or icing for cupcakes), I'm enjoying a little added to my protein shakes and matcha tea. It's a great way to try the fruit as a baby step to trying a fresh bit. I think it tastes sort of like a mild wheaty vanilla banana. I do shake a bit into a protein shake and let it sit in the fridge overnight so it mixes better. It mixes in just fine with a hot matcha tea though and gives it a slight sweetness, but sort of a toasty kind of taste. It's interesting more than pleasant exactly perhaps in the tea, but an appreciated sort of novelty. I would recommend it for a try and would be a great gift for a foodie or baker if only for it novelty of trying it. I really would recommend it to add to smoothies and protein shakes though, sweeter items bring out the sweetness more and it's a really unique and tasty flavor addition in my opinion. This definitely works in different ways depending on what you add it to. I'm looking forward to what this brings to some sweet baked goods and maybe I'll try some savory applications from there.

Nature Durian powder,Freeze Dried Durian Powder, 3.5 Ounces
Durian smells like rotten onions but tastes like savory custard, its great, but hard to get fresh as it is only in season for so long. This powder is one way to store it a long time, to enjoy it out of season, and to be able to ship it anywhere without freezing. The taste is not exactly the same as durian, but it is pretty good. Try it on ice cream. The price is high, but the price of fresh durian is also high, and some of the weight of fresh is rind and seed. Fresh will still always be better, but this dried powder will last longer.

Good way to try durian for the first time
Overall I thought this durian powder tasted good in the banana sherbet I had made. I played it safe a use two tbsp in the first batch of sherbet were I used three frozen bananas, 1/4 cup of coconut oil, 1 diced apple, the juice of one lemon, a tsp of monkfruit sugar around1-2 tbsp of honey and some milk. Then pureed, put it into a plastic container and put it in the freezer. I was able to taste the banana without the durian fruit over power it. Which has a funky cheesy custard flavor and then that rotten produce taste that I have heard of this fruit being describe at the end. The second batch I had used four frozen bananas, diced one apple, 4 tbsp of the durian powder, 1/4 cup of lemon juice three tbsp of monkfruit sugar, some honey, 16 oz of egg whites whipped into stiff peaks and a can of unsweetened coconut milk/ cream. I am sure if you use fresh durian it is going to be a lot more intense with the taste and very pungent of the smell, but I feel like a durian fruit in a freeze dried powder form is a more approachable way of trying this fruit
