This deck is amazing. Not only is it beautiful, it reads like a dream. Clear, concise readings are just a given here...readings flow so smoothly and the "story" unfolds effortlessly. There is an ease about it, a comfortableness that's wonderful and truly a delight. It's a deck that just seems to love having a "conversation" with you. I got my start in Tarot with Ciro's beloved classic 'The Gilded Tarot'. It was the deck I learned Tarot with and it has continued to remain one of my most beloved decks and always most certainly will as I have such a place in my heart for my dear and trusted friend. I can truly say that I have no doubt whatsoever that 'Legacy of the Divine' is sure to accompany my beloved Gilded as a most treasured and trusted deck that I return to time after time without fail. I can absolutely see it joining my Gilded as my now "go-to" DECKS :) The book included is one of the absolute best on the market. I have an ever growing library of books on Tarot and I have to say, 'Gateway to the Divine', the book that accompanies the deck, is in my top 3, hands down. My only and single issue with the book is that it does not provide an accompanying picture of each card in the meanings section, which is a slight disappointment for me as I'm one to throw the book in my bag and read on my lunch break or just whenever I'm on the go. I enjoy glancing over at the picture as I'm reading about the card meanings, mentally noting what the author touches on and explains in the text. For some, it will be of no issue at all and for me, it is only the slightest issue but I did feel the need to mention it. With that said, as a whole, it's a superb book. It gives not only Ciro's take/view on each card but also includes the opinions of several other people as well which, for me, gives such broader points of view for consideration in your readings. Reading their opinions and views along with Ciro's own really opens up each card giving the readings such a fresh aspect that I've never seen or experienced before in a book/card set. Bravo, Ciro...well done! Your work has changed my life, truly. Review: A Bold & Superb Vision of Tarot - Ciro Marchetti possesses a magnificent vision and the artistic talent to render it exquisitely. His Gilded Tarot and Tarot of Dreams are the stuff of legend - beautifully coloured and textured work packed with endlessly fascinating detail and a deliciously retro-futuristic worldview. His latest effort, The Legacy of the Divine Tarot, which has dazzled and stunned in limited release, is now made widely available in an edition by Llewellyn. Marchetti's art pulses with action, seductively presaging the animations of the cards that he is preparing for his new website. The cards are produced in a style to show the art to advantage, the art fading in a gradient to the black borders. The words on the cards are minimal, which further focuses the eye on the art. The imagery itself is arresting - machines of superb aesthetic beauty manufacturing wonder in environments of striking intensity, elegant human forms in graceful attitudes, vivid scenes that startle and stir the senses, rich jewels, glowing metals, mysterious luminosity revealing situations fraught with meaning. Vision, vibration and archetype take the Tarot in new directions - inward, outward and beyond. The book provides a fascinating back story for the origin of the concept, and the detailed descriptions of the cards and their meanings are written by Marchetti himself as well as RuthAnn and Wald Amberstone (the Tarot School), Leisa ReFalo (the Tarot Connection ), and James Ricklef (Tarot of the Masters) which adds a greater layer of depth and interest. There are spreads and exercises that will enhance both an appreciation of this deck's utility and a shed new light on established Tarot work. Marchetti's magnificently rendered vision marks the dawn of a new day in Tarot

Stunningly Beautiful, Exquisitely Done...Just Lovely
I have been reading, enjoying and teaching the Tarot for years now and have been "married" to my Druidcraft deck. Like many Tarot-ists, I have bought countless others...holding my breath in anticipation of that next one being THE ONE, only to be disappointed over and over. Sometimes it would be one card that just ruined the whole deck for me, sometimes it was a lack of quality in the artwork and sometimes I was just not sure, I just knew it wasn't workin' for me. The Legacy of the Divine Tarot is my new love. I am completely smitten with it. First, the book spoke to me. I have been working on a deck of my own (blatant plug) and have been doing a lot of historical research and I was also drawn to the Atlantean era and all that encompasses. Ciro speaks of this as the catalyst of this deck and the story is an amazing one. I will not tell any more, but will say this...the story of the conception of this deck could have been a stand along book! I felt satisfied after just reading that part of the book...the deck was then icing on the cake! On to the cards...they are the basic Llewellyn size, with the book and a black organza bag. I view the bag as an inner carrying case, like a protective bag and I quickly slipped this deck into a special, stunning bag I have saving...now I know what I was saving that Tarot bag for! Each card is more beautiful than the one before and I do not think you will be disappointed with any one card. I missed horses on the Knight cards at first, but after reading WHY the helmets were used, I am converted! Ciro is a digital genius, and as a graphic designer I stand humbled and in awe of his work. I would LOVE to take a class from him one day...he is just so durn good, I am totally in awe. So, my review is one of glowing praise...if you are on the fence...jump and buy this deck. It is fabulous and you will surely enjoy having it in your collection.

SHOCKED AND DELIGHTED !
I have never used tarot cards before. But, I have been struggling with some issues related to my career and money. Most people in my situation would just ask their immediate family for advice, however, everytime I have done this in the past, all I ever got was..."That's not a good idea." or "Isn't somebody already doing that?" or some other negative remark. Finally, I decided I'm just going to keep my ideas to myself and go forward without asking for anyone's advice or opinion. That's what lead me to buying some tarot cards. I looked at many different sets and liked these cards the best for the following reasons: 1) Great reviews on Amazon.com. 2) There are 78 cards. 3) The pictures on the cards are unbelieveable. 4) The cards are made of quality card-stock. No thin, flimsy paper. 5) The meaning for each card is described in the 300 page book. 6) The book tells you how to layout the cards and interpret their meanings. My cards were delivered. You get the book, the 78 colorful cards and a black, see-through pouch to hold your cards. The pouch material is kind of a black netting with a draw-string for the closure. It's enough to hold your cards together and you can see your cards through the material. I looked at each of the cards; they were both colorful and beautiful. I shuffled the deck and laid out the cards according to the description in the book. Next, I looked up the meaning for each of the cards. I was shocked at how accurate the meanings were to my personal issues and how they answered my question! And on the first reading ! I highly recommend these cards.

AMAZING TAROT...
This is my second set of the Legacy Tarot. I actually wore out my first deck. I love the Marchetti decks as a group and this is my absolute favorite of the three. I own many, many Tarot decks but I always return to this one. Marchetti's images are a perfect enhancement/interpretation/outgrowth of the original Rider deck from which all modern decks descend. Ciro, however, has somehow managed to connect with the ascendancy of the feminine in the 21st century without diminishing the power of the masculine. Most of my clients are women and it is amazing to watch them pore over the images from the spreads I do for them. The deck is worth it for the art work alone. For example, whenever anyone gets the Queen of Wands card I know they are moving into a powerful time in their lives. She's just the best! Other favorite cards of mine and my students (many of whom use one of the Marchetti decks) are the Six of Wands, the Empress, and all of the Knights. The deck is so beautiful and so fitting for the times that I almost hate to make any derogatory comments...however, as mentioned I did already use up one deck...the quality of the cards is no match for the brilliance of the artwork. It's a shame, really. Such amazing, incredible cards printed on less than complimentary card stock. Tsk, Tsk. That is my only complaint. The cards are brilliant. Kudos to Ciro Marchetti.

Spectacular! Love the artwork!
So why a 4-star review instead of a 5-star review? The artwork is superb as always from Mr. Marchetti. I think the only challenge may be of his take on the Tarot. He has a beautiful comprehension of the topic of Tarot - so maybe it's just me, but I think some of his other work conceptually is more aligned with Tarot overall. And make no mistake, I'm not a Tarot Nazi who feels that anyone who strays from good 'ol RWS imagery is a heretic - yeah I said it! Because quite honestly the RWS deck bores me to death with its primary color base and strictly two-dimensional cartoon appearance. I like vibrant colors and beautiful detail in my cards. I love the dreamy quality this artist produces that is artistically and sensually appealing resulting in an almost real but fantasy-like portrayal. In my humble opinion, and I sincerely hope I do not insult the master or his loyal followers, but I would even be so bold as to suggest that Marchetti is the Kincaid of the Tarot world bringing light to his subjects in beautiful appealing ways perhaps even surpassing the quality of Kincaid in terms of his nearly life-like renditions of his subject. This becomes even more evident in his later work of the Gilded Lenormand - not a Tarot system at all. Obviously I can't rant and rave forever... Can one do a reading? Absolutely!!! He provides enough visual clues to prompt you in the right direction whether you get it on an academic, archetypal or an intuitive level it's truly all good. This deck comes with a book, but not your typical book, this is Ciro Marchetti's version of the fools journey, but like no other. It's interesting and entertaining, but it is not what you might expect. And, hey that's not a bad thing! His version is very allegorical in metaphysical meanings and will be appealing to a broad population. I enjoyed it as I read it and you may too. I truly believe this man is inspired and has a muse dedicated solely to his artistic as well as his spiritual growth. But if you're looking for traditional RWS imagery - meaning similar symbolism and focal points on the cards, look elsewhere. If you are a collector, don't hesitate to grab a set for your private enjoyment. And, if you are not a newbie then this is a nice deck to fall back on. The images are stunning and captivating - they pull you into the ambiance right away. You immediately become a part of the scene, or perhaps the card becomes a part of you and since we are all united its all the same anyway.

Hands down.. Awesome!
Right off the bat the artwork is AMAZING! I've not seen such work done. Ciro's writing skill is very good, even in his encounter in the villa. Almost like he was REALLY there. Very well written. The way the knights are portrayed is unique, different and with a tad bit explaining which is explained well, and makes perfect sense and adds a huge dimension to readings for yourself and others. the way the fool is used in the majors is really well done and easily translate to our own journey. The minros are amazingly done and not just standards redos. each of them was done with thought and understanding of the matter at hand. The book is supportive and amazingly helpful and deep. the court cards get a hefty informative treatment and they alone in the very different and unique way they are done is amazing and make them out to be mythic figures but also deeply human and also helps understanding people or people forces in your life. All I can say is, GET THIS DECK! I enjoy using it and it has great energy and rather fun and exudes with personal power if used and always has a new surprise as you use it.

Legacy of the Divine Tarot
This deck of tarot cards has some of the most beautiful artwork that I have ever seen in the world of tarot. I would recommend this deck to anyone who are tarot fanatics, or who just collect them for the art. I have a wide collection of tarot cards, collected for their artwork, and this deck is by far the most beautiful. The deck comes with a book that gives a little background to how the artist came up with the designs. Also included, is a background story to this particular world and the characters that inhabit the faces of the cards. I have never seen this done before and is very creative. It makes one appreciate the cards more. Instead of just having random characters on each card to represent the meanings, the artist took it to another step and interconnected all the characters. They all belong to one world, with personal stories, and in the end are all connected. It makes for an interested read. It creates a deeper connection between the user and the cards. There is also a nice silk bag that comes with the cards to carry them in and keep them protected. There was a lot of thought put into these cards and I highly recommend them to anyone, whether they are tarot users, card collectors, or just appreciate art.

This is now my favorite Tarot card deck
This is now my favorite Tarot card deck. I love the rich, jewel toned, bold colors; the images are eye popping and mesmerizing; amazing art work. The fantasy like nature of the art work transports me to another world where the images, figures and scenes tell a story all on their own. They make me think of the performing arts - like theatre, circus, acrobats, dance, music. The minor arcana are all good, the court cards are also good, but my favorites are the major arcana because they are the most striking of all; I love The Moon, Strength, the Star, Judgement, the Hermit, the Magician...but also the Queen of Wands, 3 of Swords, 7 of Wands, etc. The only minor things that I'm not crazy about are that the guidebook is only just okay to me, but I also use lots of other Tarot writers to help in the interpretation of the cards as well as my own intuition. And there is the odd card where I don't like some details on the cards - like the Queen of Swords' hairstyle and I don't like the Lovers card at all... but nonetheless, I use this deck every day because overall, it really speaks to me. I'm really happy with it and I recommend it.
