3rd Fallschirmjager Division Ardennes 1944 fully articulated 1/6 scale collectible action figure from Soldier Story: The 3rd Parachute Division was formed in the Fall of 1943. Consisted of the 5th, 8th, 9th, regiments. The 5th went on to North Africa where it was almost destroyed. March 1944 the 5th was reformed and worked along side the 5th Parachute division at St. Lo. Nearly destryoed again in the Falaise pocket, surviving units of the 3rd fought there way back to the city of Aachen. Over the next 2 months, the 3rd was rebuilt along the Belgium border. Fighting in the Arnhem during Operation Market Garden. The new 3rd FJ was involved with the Ardennes offensive in the Late winter of 1944. The 3rd was then sent back to Germany for rest and refitting was then join by the 6th Regiment from the 2nd Division.
