Q: How durable is it? I’m thinking of placing this in my bathroom and kitchen counters.

Extremely durable, I put it over a tile countertop in guest bathroom and it looks amazing ! I use Clorox wipes daily and it hasn't peeled up anywhere. I have a different color on kitchen countertops and they take a lot of abuse. No problems yet and going on 2 months.

Q: I'd like to know the true width of the product. In one place the specs state that it's 12" in another, 24" is stated. Imprtant for ordering enough.

Mine is already on the counter so I'm not really sure because it's cut but from what I can remember I'm thinking it may be 12 wide by 24 in Long keep checking to be sure good luck

I would think so. I have it on my bathroom countertop and it gets a lot of wear in there. It hasn’t ripped or torn and it withstands cleaning very well. I don’t see why it wouldn’t stick to cardboard better than contact paper.

Q: Is this heat resistant?

I have never had anything hot on it so I don’t have the answer to this question. I would suggest not putting anything hot directly on it. It’s always best to err on the side of caution.
