Mon Guerlain for Women 1.0 Oz Eau De Parfum Spray, 1.0 Oz

Just a beautiful fragrance that lasts. I’ve used it for years and get compliments on it all the time. I have a collection of perfumes but this is the only one I get compliments on repeatedly. It’s pretty and feminine. Not overpowering or cloying.

YSL Libre wishes it could be this good. I originally tried Libre on a blind buy when it was trending all over TikTok. I instantly regretted my purchase as soon as I tried it. There was just something so screechy about it, and so brash and headache inducing, so I wound up giving it to someone I work with. Mon Guerlain, on paper, has a similar scent profile. When I saw it for a discounted price here on Amazon, I about passed on it. But I have other Guerlain fragrances that I adore, so I decided to go ahead and order it. I’m so thrilled that I did! I have to warn you that on first applying it, Mon Guerlain smells so similar to Libre. But give it about 5-10 minutes because it turns into the most precious, dreamy vanilla floral with a soft kiss of lavender, sandalwood, and patchouli. It’s divine. I would say it has a moderate projection and fairly decent longevity. Libre was a beast; Mon Guerlain is a lady. It leans feminine, but I really feel that a confident man could wear it. Fragrance really has no true boundaries, after all. It’s all about expressing yourself.

Shipped as scheduled and arrived in good condition. Scent was significantly stronger than I expected, definitely will be a single pump situation, carefully applied. Sweeter than expected too. Thankfully, mellows after a couple hours and lasted for hours after that.

Smells good, can’t deny that. But would not repurchase. Not for a younger/modern woman. This is definitely a mature scent. Think rich, church-going grandma who’s still got a sense of style. I have to layer it to give it a flirtier profile. May end up selling it off.

I’ve been curating my grown woman perfume collection and wanted to add a few timeless staples—and Mon Guerlain delivered. I went back and forth between the original and the intense version. Everyone from influencers to reviewers was screaming “intense”, “intense”, “intense,” and normally I’d agree… but this original? Whew. It’s a masterpiece. The intense version is nice but leans a little sharper, so I usually will layer this version on top of the intense anyway. The original is soft, warm, elegant—and somehow still has presence and longevity. I will spray it 4-5 times on my skin and 2-3 more times on top my clothes and it will provide me with the most glorious scent cloud for 6-8 hours. It’s like that one magical day a year when the weather is just right—sunny and warm yet not too hot, with a crisp gentle breeze kissing your skin. That day? Bottled. That feeling? Woven into this scent. The softness from the vanilla makes this formula comforting and inviting—so prepare to be chased down for a hug. When I wear this I feel grown, and feminine without trying too hard. She’s definitely giving “effortless allure.” I’ll be keeping this in rotation for life because she IS that girl. If you're on the fence between the OG and the intense, let this be your sign to get the original Mon.
